The Wii U itself looks like someone merged an Xbox 360 Elite with the Wii. Fortunately it got the processing power of the 360, but that's coming a little late to the game. And it really does only seem like an upgrade, like the 3DS, especially since it still uses all that Wii hardware.

The Halo 4 stuff was all a surprise to me, so I was smiling a good half hour after the fact.

Mass Effect 2 is really good, trust me. And once you finish it you can load your character into Mass Effect 3 and all your actions and consequences will carry over. And Bad Company 2 is really fun. I've prefer the Battlefield games to CoD games mostly because I feel Bad Company has more personality and humor with it's characters.

Also, Battlefield 3 just looks beautiful. It's almost too realistic.

Summer is going good, now that summer school is about over. I just have to ace my exam and I'm home free!

I liked E3. I watched the Microsoft and Nintendo conferences online. I liked all the Skyward news. I think the flying mechanic looks pretty cool, partially because they kept comparing it to the sailing mechanic from WW, which I loved. The Zelda HD video did look awesome, and I'm really axcited about HD graphics for the Wii U. The Wii U does seem a little odd to me, mostly because the controller seems like it might be a little odd to use, but overall I guess I'm looking forward to it. I am excited about Halo 4, and even though the teaser didn't give us much we did see jet packs and a new weapon, which looks awesome. Not much else stuck out to me except the Kinect mechanics for the new Ghost Recon.

The month before summer school I bought some older games I hadn't played and had a blast with those. Just Cause 2, The Saboteur, and Mass Effect 2 were a lot of fun, and my brother is playing Final Fantasy 13 right now, which he says is awesome. I've also got Bad Company 2 waiting for me at home.

They really do need some original stuff for the 3DS. They got Kid Icarus coming, and they're working on a new game called the Rolling Western which looks interesting, to say the least. You play as an anthropomorphic armadillo rolling around an Old West style overworld. Looks kinda weird.

I figured that's what you meant. My family is all in the states, except for a couple of cousins from France I met once.

I might look into Japanese after my summer course is over, or after college.

That is a very nice thing to have run in your family. The only things that run in my family are high blood pressure, love of eating, and being too nice. And just about all of my family is in the states anyway.

I would love to go back to it. I wouldn't have to wait on video games or anime to be translated. I just don't think I have the time right now. I was hoping my college would offer it, but they are primarily focused on Chinese right now. I honestly can't say how much would come back to me though. All I know at present are some honorifics, how to count to 4, and some miscellaneous words like idiot (baka). I also don't remember any of the characters.

I haven't heard much Skyward news recently. And if there is a new game being announced, my money is on an original title for the 3DS. I am excited though.

Which ones are you good with? I have no talent for languages. Except for when I was 7 and my school taught me Japanese. That was awesome. And I forgot all of it.

Remakes are not a good way to start of console, you're right. Most of the titles now are remakes, port overs, or just not great. The 3D is something, and I'll probably pick it up evevtually, just after a price drop. Or a new model. Because you know they're gonna make one.

Prom is overrated. I didn't have a date either, and I didn't have a good time. Not because I didn't have a date, but because I wasn't there with friends or had any kind of plans for the night.
