Huh...well we have our answer. I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting Minato not being there, but I thought Rin would have died because Kakashi wasn't careful enough. I also wasn't expecting both Sharingan eyes to have a Rinnigan link (where one person can see what the other is doing when they are within range. I guess the Sharingan is even more powerful than we thought). What troubles me is Kakashi doesn't look surprised, but he is sad to kill Rin (so it makes me think that this is the real Rin, not a clone). But it is possible if Kakashi was being controlled. I mean Swirl did say that there were many ninjas surrounding them (Jonin and ANBU level), and before he reached the battleground there were quite a few explosions. I have my doubts that Rin has any ability to stop/counter attack any one of Kakashi's moves so I doubt it was the two of them fighting. I think Kakashi killed many/some of the hidden mist ninjas, then one of them got control over Kakashi's body and killed Rin. And now the remote controlled Kakashi is going to fight Obito while the real Kakashi can only watch (hence the tear).

The only thing that I have to question about are "the guinea pigs from the mist". Does he mean "guinea pigs" as in "science experiment" (if so, that makes me think about Orochimaru), or "guinea pigs" as in "grunts/henchmen".

Not much happened this chapter. Obito has some flashbacks, did some training, kept company with some white zetsus, but no brainwashing from Madara as I expected. But I do find it interesting that Obito will personally hold witness to what might very well be Rin's death due to Kakashi's mistake (I assume) next week. Maybe the brainwashing will begin afterwards. Hmmm I just had a thought, considering we just saw the "swirl zetsu" talking about bowel movements, maybe the "swirl zetsu" acts as the child-like Tobi, and the serious one is Obito. At first I thought of split personality, but it could very well just be two people.
