Oh, I forgot to tell you, in case you were not yet aware. Another chapter of the Ocarina of Time Retelling has finally been posted. Though you ought to know.

Well, Wind Waker stands out as pretty close to TP to me. However, while I felt that some things felt unfinished with TP, other things were deliberately missing from WW. It made the game feel a little choppy in those particular areas, and I felt that this hurt the game quite a bit.

Story, it lacks the sort of in-between dungeon storytelling that made TP so compelling. The cutscenes are pretty amusing though.

The visuals are arguably preferable over TPs. It manages to stay unique for a longer time, it won't age as fast as OoT and TP with their more realistic approaches. I really like the animations too, they're flawless.

Gameplay is pretty Zelda-esque. Sailing could get monotonous and boring, and the massive seas didn't really help this. I'm all for freedom of overworld-traversing, but OoT managed to keep it short and sweet and TP gave you enemies to look out for at least.

All in all, not flawless, but definitely deserving of praise.

I was banned for a week as a result of the banning bet for Zelda Wii

I dunno when I will get to talking about WW, I mostly tend to jump on threads that happen to contain stuff I disagree with, since that spawns discussion. Doesn't happen often with WW, more with TP

I must confess, I was rather intrigued by the Deluge rumour. A steampunk Zelda sounded like it would have been a new and exciting frontier for Nintendo to explore. Though, going all out futuristic (such as putting a machine gun in, or turning Epona into a motorcycle) is best left for fan-fiction. Intriguing ideas, no doubt, but I think it would force Zelda too far from its origins.
