Well, yeah, there are worldwide brands and such. I understand they're expensive. I was just wondering if there were preferences or recommendations involving which brands, and how to avoid the really cheap ones. And maybe there might be advantages as to which type of resin to buy, the advantages and disadvantages of the size, like should I start on a 3/4 size violin? Or does it depend on fingerlength, etc.

For example, if some new prosepective guitar player were to ask me which guitars I think would be the best for beginners or so, I'd recommend epiphone, taylor, or jasmine, because they tend to be less expensive and still relatively high quality and good-sounding.
