Forgive the late reply--was putting this together and it took a bit of time. The first pic you posted on my page, the lineart is really smooth and professional looking. That's the work of the pentool. Let's get started on that first. I pulled this together for ya:

Hope that's some help for now. If you can get the gist of what I'm saying there, why don't you try using the pentool on one of your sketches, and then let me see? If we can get your lineart looking smooth and clean, we'll move onto colour.
