Minish Cap is, I think, the one Zelda game I never got a chance to play. Is it worth trying to get a hold of to play?

And with regards to SS...the reason why I like the "horde" part is simply the adrenaline rush it gives me while playing. A few of the SS bosses did this as well, like Scaldera. At first I was skeptical about the dash, and how rolling would work. But after playing, I feel like they nailed the controls COMPLETELY. Nothing feels gimmicky. This game is the epitome of everything Nintendo has been working towards with the Wii for the last five years.

I also don't get why people don't like the final boss. It wasn't tacked on; you pretty much knew it all game. It wasn't too long, but it wasn't too short. And it wasn't easy by any stretch. Basically what I'm getting at is that it wasn't like TP, where although I enjoyed it, it got ridiculous. It's like, DIE ALREADY GANONDORF!!!

I would love to see a sequel to this game with the Dark Interlopers. While TP fell apart story-wise at the end, I still feel like it made some awesome contributions to the Zelda lore.

Yeah, the sky could have been developed more, but if Nintendo is going to cop out by not having a tradition, interconnected overworld, I think the sky is the best alternative. Like a lot of things in SS, I want to see them fleshed out even more in the next Zelda.

I'm still unsure about the motion controls. They feel fresh and add more strategy to the combat, but they also aren't as reliable as pressing a button. I've taken a lot of damage simply because of the lag or the controller registering the wrong swipe. There are times where I do swing too fast, and that's my fault, but other times it's like the motionplus is taking a nap.

I think a better alternative would be to have a second analog stick control the direction of the sword swipes. I hope they do something like like with the Wii U Zelda. Surprisingly enough, I'm rather fond of the flight controls. I was really expecting to hate them.

I really should wait until break before I play it again. I have to put off homework to play it, which forces me to rush my playthrough and then I get behind on homework. With that in mind, I'm probably more harsh on SS than I should be.

And, seriously, Groose's character surprised me. I heard good things about him, but no scene in the Zelda series is as funny as when he hitches a ride on Link and lands on the surface world for the first time. I hope he continues to surprise me. Zelda and Link are great in this game too. They are both very likable and easily my favorite incarnations of Link and Zelda so far.

I gotta say that SS is a solid game, but I feel like the dungeons are letdowns. It's like the surface overworld acts as build up to anti-climatic dungeons. Do you really think the 3rd dungeon is of the same quality as Stone Tower or the Forest Temple? It's creative, but it felt flat to me. Nothing really exciting.

I do, however, really love the sky world! Skyloft is beautiful and flying is a lot of fun. I only wish there was more to explore and fight. Also, Groose, Zelda, Ghirahim, and Link are fantastic characters. They give me a LA feeling for some reason. Groose is my favorite.

Hey do you have to learn the shield bash in SS, or do you always have it? I constantly tried bashing my shield out by flicking the nunchuck, but it does nothing to the enemies.

So, I just finished. What an epic ending. That sequence running down the sealed grounds with a ♥♥♥♥load of monsters chasing you? The music, the adrenaline...it was amazing. The Ghiriham fight was cool and everything, not incredibly easy but not as hard as V1 and V2 IMO. Demise was just a badass. His dialogue was...some of the best the series has ever had. Link was so expressive, I couldn't believe I was playing a Zelda game. Overall, I feel like it was just a beautiful and fitting ending. I think my finish time was between 87-88 hours. I had to use a crap load of potions on Demise. I actually filled all five bottles and upgraded my potions (well, I had one fairy and one half of a Red++ potion left. Amazing game. It's still going to take some time for it all to sink in though. I may not start Hero mode for a little while. My brain hurts, lol.

I've been sick so didn't play today, but I am in Sky Keep...just started. Just out of curiosity, how many hours did you log your first playthrough? I'm currently logged at 82 hours, and I'm not a slow player. Some guy from ZI who posts here said he got 100% in 40 hours, which I think is BS. I'm just curious as to how much time it took you to beat the game initially.

after 81 hours, I finally have all the gratitude crystals, upgraded all I can, and got all the heart pieces and goddess cubes. Wow that took way longer than I could have imagined. I didn't really use help either, except maybe here or there, but nothing really big. Now I can finally go to Sky Keep! lol.

I still haven't beaten it...I guess I'm trying to get everything else I can possibly get before I head into the final dungeon. Is Sky Keep a good dungeon? Makes you think? I just don't want the final dungeon to be a let down after the quality has been so high for so long.

I couldn't take it. SS has been sitting in its package at my house, but I refused to play it until the semester ends. I have so much ♥♥♥♥ to do in these next 2 weeks... SS just has to be one of them. I'm weak.

Yeah what I did was do Imprisoned V.2 first then luckily got to fight Ghirihim V2 last, so I was able to fill up hearts against Scaldera and Ghirihim V1. Was still difficult though. For some reason Moldarch takes off hearts from me in Boss Rush, which is annoying, even though he's really easy. Imprisoned V2 is ridiculous so I always start with him hoping I get something easier down the road.

What was your favorite dungeon in the game? And did you do Boss Rush to get the Hylian Shield? That was actually pretty hard. I got to the last boss only to lost. it was draining getting the energy to do it again...but well worth the effort!

I think Link's Awakening would really lend itself well to SS's engine. Adding more sidequests, chararacters, areas, and revamping the dungeons for 3D would be really cool to see. By the look of it, SS's overworld is handled in a very similar way as LA where the overworld itself is pretty much a multi-layered dungeon. But that dream-like and innocent feeling that makes the original so charming (to me at least) needs to stay intact. LA really had some oddball characters, even the bosses were silly and talkative.

And, man, waking the Wind Fish with a fully orchestrated Ballad of the Wind Fish would be jaw dropping! Just thinking of it puts sparkles in my eyes.

By the way, how is the surface overworld in SS? Is there a lot to explore? And do the dungeons really feel like part of the overworld? That's a page from Metroid that I really want Zelda to take from.

Speaking of Metroid... I wonder what's going to happen to that series. I honestly don't trust anyone but Retro Studios with Metroid now, but I really would like to see Retro take on a 2D Zelda or a brand new IP where they can have at much fun with level design as they did with DKCR but have the open world of Metroid Prime.

Awww, that's too bad about you not getting into LA. The more I think of it, the more suited I think it is for a remake. ALttP is as close to perfection as gaming can get, so leave that the way it is. LA could do with some tweaking, like real-time item selection and tougher boss battles (LA is the first "easy" Zelda").

If you ever do find that you feel guilty for not finishing LA (as you should ) then the DX version is the way to go. Do you really feel that it hasn't aged as well as the original NES game? I hate that game because the challenge comes from the games limitations (moving in only 4 directions, sword stabbing has no range and sucks, no map, etc.) and not challenging level design.

Anyway, are you talking about 2.5D remakes? Or like 3D versions of LA and SM using the OoT/Metroid Prime engines?

Yes! That specific part was awesome in Lanayru. Everything in Lanayru IMO felt like a dungeon, and when you got to the first actual dungeon it was like...geez. I loved every second though. Returning there to help the Thunder Dragon was awesome, and the best of any of the dragon 'quests' that you have. I ♥♥♥♥ing hate the Water Dragon. Seriously, I wish he never ♥♥♥♥ing got healed...ughhh.
