I think Eroraf turned into a demon, was defeated, and attached to a rock between the two colliding dimensions in order to take the impact.

oh yeah... he was defeated and revealed to leave a piece of his subconscious in my mind to control me in case he was defeated. but you left out Eroraf... didn't he die as well???
