Abyssion was an optional boss with the power to freeze time, summon meteor storms, and control the elements.
Pryde, while an actual name, is a mispelling of a word, which accurately correlates to my misunderstanding of what it actually is.

Because, Abyssion is cooler than Pryde. And because it suites (If that's how you spell it) more.
