lol, yep, that's basically around the world (well, not really...). You're lucky you don't have to do more than basic math. Hehe, I'm thinking of majoring in the science field so I probably need as much math as I can get. You learn weird things and things like "Integrals" in which I've never in my life heard before lol!! Oh, and btw, you look kind of how I pictured you would lol! Straaaaange...but that's me!

I'm in the UK, Wales specifically.

"An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth leaves the whole world blind and starving." Sentences are not punishments of vengeance, punishment and vengeance are simply a part of the sentence.

I haven't had to do more than basic maths for a good three years now, thankfully.

well yeah, i agree that law should be in every country. i kind of think that Hannibal's law, "An eye for an eye" would be good but then i learned that, that philosophy won't get anything done and no one really learns anything or gets a second chance, although it would perhaps be good to teach a person who (Just as an example) hit another in the back with a bat get hit themself with a bat and see how it feels. But that might stir up more anger...

I was wondering, what country are you in? you probably already know i'm in the US.

well, i must be going to do my calc homework. for some odd reason, my teacher decided to dump a lot of homework on the class today.

We absolutely have to take those for our GCSE's but after that we've got free-reign really.

Law matters in pretty much every civilized country. The extent to which it's enforced varies, but disputes will always arise, and that's when the law comes in.

ooooohhhh. I thought you lived in the U.S. lol! yeah, I think we have to take a Calc, English, Science and History. Although i shouldn't worry too much on Calc since I'm takin it this year.

That sounds like a lot of years in college/university. Does law really matter where you are?

To be honest, now that everyone and their dog goes to university, having a degree won't really impress people anymore, but a law degree is handy in pretty much any job you might choose because everyone loves legal experience (it means they don't have to pay as much for a lawyer).

I'm in my second year now, and then next year will be my last year on this current degree course. Then should I choose to take the Bar Vocational Course (which I recently discovered the price of and am therefore reconsidering my choice to do so =/) it'll be another three years on top of that, and then another year under apprenticeship, before I can actually start practicing as a Barrister (providing I do well enough in my degree).

In our universities we have a set of different modules, some of which may not even relate to the degree in question. In America I'm told you have to take even more different ones (like a guy I know who's doing engineering had to take a calculus course, which does relate in a way but it's not just straight engineering). So I don't know about biology.

Is it hard to get a job with any degree or a law degree? Oh, btw, how many years before you can finally graduate and earn your degree? I'm actually still in high school lol, but it's finally my senior year! Then I can finally pursue what I really want to learn about except that don't you have to take general ed. in college? That stinks if you have to. lol
