One more question before I go writing crazy: Do the "flames" around Synyx emit heat? I didn't think so and I've been writing assuming they don't but I thought I'd ask you first.

It won't be a novel. I can piss off Synyx just by freeing Hoch and scenery change could just be walking as they fight.

So basically after a few hits from Hoch he'll go into Overtake? Is there an explosion or anything like that that happens when he goes int Overtake?
