In which case, what you said does make sense for Dune and Foundation. Enders game I'd rank medium, maybe medium soft. It gives explanation for most things, it just does so using fake laws and a new subatomic particle (The Philote).

Hmm, that seems an odd way to measure hardness. Seems more to me like the more well explained and possible the tech is, the harder, and the more fantasy-esque the softer. But maybe I'm way wrong, I don't know if any official scale exists.

I don't know exactly how hard each series I like is by most people's classification. If Foundation and Dune could be considered hard sci-fi, or Enders Game, then yes.

For me it comes probably 2nd, below the Dune series but above the book Stranger in a Strange Land and the Foundation series, which tie.

I believe it may be possible that you are correct. Another distinct possibility is that it is my favorite six book trilogy.
