Cool stuff! If you're interested, you could check out this website. It sort of uses flashcards and memes to help you remember stuff. I've been using this, listening to Swedish radio, and talking to the Swedes to help me learn. And you'd have the supercool benefit of being right smack in the middle of the language.

Some stuff is super easy to remember. En fot, en hund, en arm, these are just like English words to me but Swedified. But this website has some really cool memes

I get what you mean, I can tell the difference between Florida and New Jersey. In New Jersey (and even New York I'd say) it's sort of like - keep looking forward, go on your way, basically you don't even say anything if you bump into someone. That's kinda the impression that I get Sweden (or well I guess Stockholm) will be like, sort of how it was in New Jersey. And I'm totally cool with that since I kind of prefer that a bit more.

Is it currently the time when the sun isn't up as often? I don't think I'll be too shocked by that, but it'd feel weird if the sun is only up for a few hours a day.

Europe is supposed to have some kickass infrastructure so that's probably part of the reason!

I've kind of expected it to be like that. But perhaps it won't be as severe to me, I know when I went to Canada when I was like ten or eleven that everyone was soooo much nicer over there than here.
