also you can't view the plot as overrated it a element that apply to all forms of fiction such movie or video game. if a game like zelda has no plot it can boring because they are nothing else to do in the would except sidequest (which can be tedious somtime) combat and exploring(think about it, it can be boring somtime running around and fighting monsters is that great....boring)

I think that if MTV/Nickelodeon/Disney/ABC Family push an artist or an album, it usually becomes popular among kids/teenagers. You become a MTV/Nickelodeon/Disney/ABC Family star = you become a star. I don't think that all of the artists/actors/music that has come out of MTV/Nickelodeon/Disney/ABC Family are necessarily in that same category, but it does seem to be the trend. It's difficult for individuals/groups who may not necessarily fit the cookie-cutter look, but have musical talent, to become mainstream in any of these outlets.

It wasn't meant to spark some big debate. I just think that a lot of the successful Disney stars (example: Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus) are basically the result of marketing strategy and not actual talent. They get cast on a television show, come out with repetitive/cookie-cutter music, and then you start seeing advertisements for them everywhere.

to counter that here my opinion on it.
1. ♥♥♥♥♥ you, I love following the plot of a zelda game because it interesting.
2. ♥♥♥♥♥ you again, I know a lot of games with chracter developement like final fantasy or majora mask they were decent.

I'm not stalking you I'm just posting my opinion and pesonally I think the combat and exploring is overrated (aleast in zelda game) why?
1. it can get boring sometimes for exploring
2. combat my be fun but you should focus on story

P.S. could you atleast find the game decent or mediocre? also in one of the interview they say that the gane will have more active focus on combat and exploring (is that a good thing for you?)

there more in zelda then combat and exploring, there a story you could follow, you can try sidequest or even better interact with the npc that have a life, your problem is that you only care about link not any other chracter like romania you to need to aleast have a emotional connecting with these type of npc that why people love majora mask.

the plot is basicly telling a story. you say that zelda should be less plot driven. you should focus more on how nonlinear the game is not the plot. pesonally I think the plot is a good thing.

*sigh* so from your point of view you preferred a less plot driven game with no rare character dialog,you preferred focusing on the gameplay Rather then a great plotline with good character development that still give you a good gameplay experience. i just don't get why you don't care about the plot.

I'm very much aware you're Double A, and though I can't specifically recall anything you posted or main opinions or crux arguments in FZ, when I see you post elsewhere, for example your views in General gaming (one tihng I thnk of being the Mario 3D thread) - I agree.
