And yet we have DOMA which is conservative, as well as conservatives who are anti-abortion, both of which control the affairs of citizens. Doma which I believe is an amendment. The public option also doesn't stop the people from choosing anything.

Healthcare. Conservatives disagree, saying that the government has no constitutional right to control the affairs of citizens. Liberals don't care, and are ready to amend if they need to.

We (conservatives) do recognize the need to make amendments when necessary. Liberals tend to amend whenever the constitution gets in their way. At least, that is my observation.

Okay, well, I just think they are rather inaccurate definitions, no offense to you. Conservatism is more closely associated with Traditionalism in my mind. Liberalism is more closely associated with socialism. But seem to be associated with libertarianism, but neither exclusively follows the constitution or not.

They are my definitions. Remember I said that earlier. I said that it is what I interpret conservatism to be, not what it necessarily is, absolutely. How can you give an idea an absolute definition?
