I just got out of school a couple of weeks ago, and I'm actually about to go to a summer camp from June 21-26. It's a camp at the military college called the Citadel, in SC.
And the trombone was solo. They make me sleepy if they're played good enough. .-. My director would have taken 10 points from our grade if we had slept.
I'm decent. I also learned that a first chair can become really arrogant after a bit. I lost the first after trying to play our Gb and Db scales by memory. The new first thinks she's able to play the solos, and he's assigned them to me. >.>
I'm sure you did good on how to put a clarinet together. ^^ We got to listen to a trombone player play today. -.- Boring.
Ahhh forgot to print out my conclusion so that part sucked. xP But I did good on the other parts..I think. ^^; Ah well whatever.
Haha wow. Ouch..I wish you luck. XP I'm in the lower band of the high school which aparently means we "suck" and can play "middle school" music. Oh yes. We did play middle school music for our last concert. >>;; Sucks getting last part in the lowest band. XP
But I think your good so you must be in the higher bands. x3
We're playing some music call The Light Eternal. Imagine playing about 146 with these impossible rhythms. xD He's been making us do cut time sight reading as well.
Ouch. xP Haha sometimes my band director is the same. He makes us play our songs slow. We have a march in cut time, our concert is on Tuesday and we're still playing it in 4/4 time. >>;;
And in our masterclasses (a type of sectionals during class but we have sectionals earlier that day) we play it in 2/4 time. >> So..yeah. ^^;
But I do like my classes. (:
Have to dress up for a speech where I shall teach peoples how to put a clarinet together. Wish me luck! X3
