I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it so much :D, though weather doesn't often bother me, because I don't often leave the house. It used to bother me because I used to go out into the back garden a lot to smoke, but I'm trying to quit. I've managed to cut it down to only when I drink on Fridays or occasionally on the rare nights out, but for the most part I'm doing good, so I don't have to worry how wet it is outside.

As someone who has lived the first 19 out of 21 years of their life living in Somerset (the home of cider), I absolutely love cider. My favourite is Thatcher's Gold. It's locally brewed (so I can get it cheap) and it tastes amazing.

The one I went to was mixed ^^ It was a writer's retreat, but we each had our own rooms, and those who did room together were of the same sex. I'm glad I went. I've always avoided going to them for those very reasons actually, ironically enough. I was afraid, and I didn't want to confront the issue. Apparently the mountain had none of that, and being alone in the cabin with no internet and woods around me sort of broke me down, haha ^^;;

I've been pretty good lately. Tonight I've just sat in with my best mates and drank lots of booze whilst watching the end of Doctor Who series 3 You?

I can't quite imagine legions of Canadians sweeping into America, brushing aside the pitiful resistance. Burning McDonalds, tank shells impacting into the side of a walmart, etc

and all the gangstas from Detroit could be pretty useful shock troops.

Whenever I invade America in Hearts of iron 3, Michigan is always where the US armed forces made their final stand.

Oh yeah, like when I read about little acts of kindness in the newspaper or Reader's Digest or something, it gives me hope for humanity. You hear about all this terrible ♥♥♥♥, but when you hear about those selfless acts by people its like "awwww, humanity isn't so bad after all."

I never really felt that way about any churches I went to, although there was this thing at my college called the Mountain, which was a spiritual retreat. It felt like hit me in the gut of things I've been avoiding forever. And it just made me confront it. I think that was the biggest time it really affected me. Although there have been masses where it brought up a lesson where I wanted to strangle our priest since it was a really bad time to bring it up xDD

I always felt I was 'different' for being this way since people always used the Bible for the foundation of their beliefs, but it's always reassuring there are others who had the same sort of feeling I suppose? It's probably the reason why I'm so obsessed with angels xDD

Yeah, Mass bores me a lot of the times, but there have been times I went to Mass where I wanted to break down crying because of the homily or whatever.

ah, well... for these young pups, 1 to 3 years seems like a large age difference. But I do think that if you're a generation or more apart, it might be difficult because of different life experiences. Matters less if the younger one is over 30, of course.

Suuuuper busy!
I have been so busy with my current language class (I'm taking a 3-unit Japanese course that is only 4 weeks long, so it's fast) that other important things have been put on the back-burner. I did manage to find some time to spend on ZU today, which is cool.

But now I have to stay up for another 2 or 4 hours, probably, to catch up on the work that I couldn't get to during the weekend.

For the most part, though I suspect your definition of "a reasonable time" is a lot different from mine xD It's not a big long 8 hour block of classes like high school, so there's a lot more flexibility, although that kinda peters off once you start going into upper-level/major-related classes. It's pretty hard avoiding classes at certain times completely, but by that point you're usually learning something that's actually interesting and you don't have to repeat it ad nauseum for 8 hours a day 5 days a week so it's not all that agonizing when all's said and done.
