Although, I know you live in (or at least used to live in) Maryland. I have family up there whom I travel up to see every now and again. Granted, I don't know when I'll next be up there, but if I do make it up there again, I'm not sure if you'd be comfortable hanging out (even for something as brief and casual as lunch or coffee).

And I would disagree about the romantic/family bit exclusively. I've seen (and do have myself) some very close and profound friendships with females with whom I'm not related nor is there any romantic potential--and I know they feel the same way about the friendship(s) too.

Yes, that thread did indeed teach me that it's much more sex-related than I thought.

But the girl can still help us out immensely by giving an explanation. Because while in previous instances of this, I can clearly see where I had overstepped my bounds, in the most recent scenario, I was truly in the dark. And that's actually a more horrible feeling than you'd think.

Well, sort of, more or less.

And for the record, I don't actually think the ignore/block function should be done away with. It's useful for when you don't want to fight with someone whom you know will provoke you. It's useful for warding off someone who absolutely won't leave you alone. I still maintain, however, that it is common courtesy to at least let someone (if they're a friend or former friend) have an explanation before you (general you, that is) block them out. Technically, you don't have to, but it's a good thing to do. And as was thoroughly demonstrated in that thread, there are plenty of guys (myself included) who have been blocked by girls, and we genuinely had no idea why.

Oh, and I fully meant to make some clarification posts in that ignore list thread from a couple weeks ago (since when I initially posted there, I wasn't in a clear frame of mind and was in vent mode--i.e., I didn't post what I actually believed). But I guess I just got lazy.

BTW, you do know I wasn't being completely serious with my post in the count to a million thread, right?
