Oh, that was right, 'Angel' Mateus didn't appear until Dawn of Souls. I totally forget he was exclusive to the GBA/PS edition, I suppose that was because the GBA version is the only version I've played so far. Oh well, I suppose it says a lot about one's charecter when even your 'good' side is pure evil! Oh, IV's moon... it drove me mad sometimes as I kept getting lost and attacked by strong monsters, but completing the game was totally worth it. Poor Lunarians. Still, I hope to get the DS version some day, 'd love better graphics... and sound! Hoefully V will be a remake some day. I actually have hopes, considering how popular Exdeath was in Dissidia and how many V references there were (chocobo courses included).

Kefka and Kuja are some of the best villians ever. I love the ones that are just a little not... not all there, and original and interesting, unlike Sephiroth. Sephiroth's alright, but he's not quite as quirky as some of the other villians.

FF2's emperor mateus didn't had his "angelic counterpart" like on dawn of souls... and it was deceiving... and yes, FF4's storyline was interesting, and it was fun exploring the moon in the ending... hee-hee... me too, considering that FF 5 is my favorite in the series, I would love to see an 3D remake in the DS... I don't know why this is taking so long...

I didn't think FF2 was too bad, the heroes were a little basic but being only the second game in the series, I think it can get away with that. At least Emperor Mateus was an interesting character, and set up the villian's evil tier list (taking over Heaven AND Hell takes some doing!) FFIV and V were indeed very good, both near flawless. I enjoyed IV's storyline most of all, and V's system the best. I like a little bit of difficulty and flexablity and both games offered a good deal of both. I'm hoping V and VI get some form of remake, what with The After Years and a DS game for IV, and a DS game for III.

Ah, Emperor Mateus. I found him rather entertaining in Dissidia and fun to play. Despite Garland being the 'original' villian, The Emperor was the one pulling the strings for a good deal of the game and caused the heroes of Cosmos the most trouble. Also, like Kuja, he looks absolutely FABULOUS and he somehow gets away with it. Anyone who can wear gaudy armor, wield a staff, wear eyeshadow, lipstick and an assortment of beads and STILL be intimidating has got to be epic. : D

Hmm... yes, I didn't liked FF 2 much because the main heros were boring... final fantasy 4 is classic... and FF V is my favorite in the series due to the decent difficult level and job system... and yes, those older games are more popular in the orient...

It's a shame that the older games aren't as well known as some of the later editions, although the remakes are pretty good. I didn't know very much about the older games until Dissidia got me interested in Final Fantasy once again, so I've been playing some of the older games on a GBA emulator. I got to play IV once again, and played V and VI at last. Emperor Mateus and Golbez are some of my favourite characters!
