Yeah, GSP is the best, and he's Canadian, so that's cool.
GSP is going to be the face of the UFC (direct from Dana White) because he's such a good fighter and is like the nicest guy anyone has ever met.
My brother is really into it. He's been watching this stuff since UFC 15 and all that Pride stuff. He's met the UFC president Dana White a few times, a bunch of fighters and all that. He's got tickets to the first Ontario event. It's crazy.
That's kind of where I got into it. He got me to watch the Ultimate Fighter show.
If you haven't seen it, you should give it a watch, it's a pretty good show.
Ya, field helmets are actually really good as goalie helmets. A lot of box goalies use them. Never really liked them my self.
And if you get a chance (or get bored) you should really just try lacrosse out some more, get used to the stick because it's really pretty fun, even just playing wall ball, which is much harder to do with a puck.
I do watch UFC occasionally (although I'm the one who always does them at work, so i don't see much) although I'm not as into it as some people. Just follow it enough to know what's going on.
Oh yeah, I had that happen too in my last year.
I only play late night beer league now.
I actually started playing a couple years ago (net) when our goalie quit the team. I played in his place, and really enjoyed it. It's a great position, regardless of the sport.
I actually almost bought a lacrosse helmet a few weeks ago. I can't find any nice hockey helmets for a decent price, even though they're pretty much the same helmets.
But anyway, i've never really been into playing lacrosse. I don't have any of the goalie equipment, so that's a problem there, and a can't throw/shoot or any of that with the sticks. Its too difficult for me.
And that's too bad you don't really have anyone on this site to talk to about lacrosse. I know how you feel, nobody watches UFC on here either.
Hells yes I am! Although over the past few years since I went down to just playing house elague there have been a couple times I've had 2 goalies on my team. So instead of doing half and half I either alternate games playing in net and out, or this past year I played the first half in net, then got changed and played the second half out. And in field lacrosse I'm a long pole.
And that really sucks! But at least you've got other people to talk to about hockey. I've only met one other person on the site who ever actually played and he only did in high school for one year. But I managed to convince Vynrah to start watching NLL this season and she's really enjoying it, so that's a plus.
