I'm sending a VM to all Canadian ZUers whom have made a recent post. Why? Just because I love sending a good laugh:

The good news is, I've created separate discussion forums for each individual book, so you can still talk about what you have read thus far. All you have to do is not go into the other thread discussions.

I've only read the first two books, so I think I'll have to hold off so I don't end up getting more spoiled on future events than I already have.

Would you be interested in joining the A Song of Ice & Fire fans social group? If you haven't read the books, be careful, there might be some spoilers in there (considering everyone that has joined so far are reading or have completed the first five books).

None, that I can recall. There's a lot of talk about Harvey Dent, and the events of the night he died play a fairly significant role in Rises. But there's no overt reference to the Joker at all.

I have a Dark Knight Rises question: Is there ANY mention of "The Joker" in the movie? I mean, I know this takes place after 8 years after the Joker ransacked the town, but is there more? What I've been hearing is that Rises feels more like a spiritual sequel to Begins than anything else

Since you posted in the Brave thread a few months back, I just thought you'd be interested in watching the latest trailer:

That would make sense (about not listening well). I have a few ultra-religious catholic friends that are just stubborn as hell when it comes to conversations dealing with god, afterlife, sex, etc... you know, all of the controversial norm. Thanks for the explanation

Ha, it is from a comic strip of sorts, but doesn't have anything to do with Catholicism or anything. The strip I took it from is basically about how the guy in the picture doesn't remember being told some fact and is later indigent that he was never told. When it's pointed it out that he was told earlier, it flashes back to that occurrence, where he is dancing and singing 'Bananas in mah ears!" rather than listening to his sister or mother or something.

So maybe, if the joke is the same, the idea is that Catholics don't listen well?

I've been meaning to ask about your Staff picture. It's a guy, with bananas in his ears. Is it some kind of joke? To make a long story short, my brother-in-law once saw a little comic strip asking the reader "Can you spot the Catholic?" and the answer was "It's the guy with the bananas in his ears". Does your picture have anything to do with that? I honestly don't get the joke, do you mind explaining it if you do.
