I don't think so either, but since my parents are immigrants, they think the only opportunity to live in this world is to go to university and succeed. I honestly chose out of free will, but I really don't like hearing what they have to say about my life. They expected me to go into sciences, and now they're making me feel like I'm not going to make a decent living as an actor and writer. Yarbles...

Tell me about it. I know about the many teacher strikes, the fact how students are getting classes without teachers even bothering to come, it's absolute bull. My other choice was U of T M, but I'm mostly concentrating on gettng into Ryerson.

So what kinds of shows and scripting would you want to get yourself into? A specific genre, per-say?

They tell me I have colorful vocabulary and an esscentric behavior with a matching wit. I even did a strange smile in a conversation we had, and one of them noted "Jeez, looks like that cryptic one in the beginning of the scene at the milk bar". I still do it for fun to this day.

Ryerson definately seems like the ideal actor's guild. Such a vast landscape they have. I had to go during that snowstorm last week for a tour. Bad timing indeed.
Humber sounds nice, but isn't that a college? I just have the kind of parents that seem to concentrate me on going to university and all that cal. One of my friends who wants to be a filmmaker told me he's going to York for a great screenwriting program, but I know that place is pretty bad. Of course, there is also the Radio and Television course in Ryerson as well.

Devil's Rejects is another amazing movie. Even the "Chicken ****er" bit gets me to this day (reminds me of that South Park episode when Officer Barbrady was to learn how to read). I have some albums of his, especially Hellbilly Deluxe I. My favourite movie by him, however, would be The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. Very underrated, and aside from so much sexual humor, it's really good. Reminds me of Ren and Stimpy in a way.

I've watched the film recently, actually. Been trying to get my hands on it for a while, but I saw it a month ago, and just saw pure genius in the character of Alex. Aside from the thoughts of rape, Beetoven and Ultravoilence, my friends seem to tell me he reminds them of me, lol. I'd say it's on my top list, along with The Dark Knight, Nightmare Before Christmas, Hunchback of Notre Dame and Blue Velvet.

Actually, I'll be attending Ryerson University (not sure how familiar with that part of Ontario) as a major in performance acting and creative writing. I'll be going there for 4-5 years, and at the same time, have some experience with voicework over on several youtube projects and will also happen to be an apprentice to one of my personal favourite voice actress I know over on skype, giving me private coaching by the summer. I've been writing scripts/screenplays and poetry for my free time, and there is a certain story project I have been working on for nearly 4 years, which I hope to be published into a graphic novel soon enough. It's a prety dark story that involves bioengineering, balances of human nature, and the conflict between men and monsters. I hope to get myself working in film, theatre, and even animated serieses as a voice actor.
Where will you be off to?

Gothic/doom metal, I presume? I'll listen to those you suggested, but as far as your taste goes, might I recommend Paradise Lost and Daylight Dies?
I like many genres, actually, but I seem to atract myself more into the doom, power and avant-garde metal. My absolute favourites (for now) would include Vintersorg, Unexpect, Iron Savior and Arch Enemy. As mainstream as he seems, I adore Rob Zombie as a musician and a film director.

It's Nadsat for "rich". I'm trying to learn the language after watching "A Clockwork Orange", so bear with me, Hahah.
And it is a fun word...

Rather swell. Barely on ZU anymore, hard courses taking place in my final year of high school, and provoking a career in writing and acting (especially voice). A lot of crap to deal with.

You like metal, I heard. Bands you listen to?

Yes. He worked around docks for a long time before he became published. He's going to be missed.

I think I own all three of the Duchman books, but I honestly have no recollection of what happens in them after he gets off of the Dutchman's ship. I thought it was a really cool concept, but it didn't need to stretch out longer than a book.

Yeah, that's why a lot of the later ones didn't do much for me. They were no where near as intricate. It's like you said, young upstart gets chosen by Martin, they find the Sword, they kick some tail.

Have you read any of his other books?

Seeing old characters or references to them was one of the most entertaining things about the books. They had so much culture to them. The world was intricately developed. Once the only similarity became Martin's tapestry and his sword, the book declined in value for me.

Mariel is excellent as well. That first half of the book before she gets to the Abbey is absolutely crazy.

I've probably read them just as many times, back in the day. I'd read through them chronologically and everything. I remember having posters up on my wall and everything.

I'm not really sure when I'll get to reread them, but I definitely want to read at least on of them before the summer.

Taggerung is one of the best.

Yeah, after Triss they started getting stale. Rakkety Tam was up to standards, but the others that I read didn't do much for me.

Basically, I think I've settled on rereading Mossflower, Redwall, Mattimeo, Outcast of Redwall, and Taggerung sometime soon.

As is mine. Redwall was such a big part of my childhood. They were basically all I read in years five and six.

I own all of the books save the three most recent ones (I haven't read the last two). I'm thinking I should stop neglecting them and read my favorite ones again. It's been a long, long time since I've taken one of them off my shelf.

Indiana Jones deserves a thread anyway.

That just gave me a reason to do it.
