I wasn't trying to speak for others, but I think you'll find many that agree. Edge magazine has said that 3D World reuses "assets and ideas" from 3DLand, although I didn't need them to tell me that. It's quite clear the game is more of the same, which is fine since it's a good game, but it's not very exciting. The same is true for DKTF. Both games got a visual boost (although surprisingly, arguably less than Mario Kart) but also clearly play very similar to their respective predecessors.

I lost the E3 bet. Kinda figured it would happen.

Super Mario 3D World looks fantastic! And we get to ninja around the Mushroom Kingdom as cats? Freakin' sweet! Can't wait for it to come out! I'm also excited that New Super Luigi U will be out on the 20th. Pokemon X & Y have my interest. The X game looks really cool! I'm a sucker for sci fi stuff. Or is that steampunk? Eh, I don't know my genres, I guess.

Mario Kart 8 looks fantastic! I'm a little sad that it won't be coming out until next year, but I totally understand and have no problems with it. There'll be plenty of stuff coming out to keep us entertained in the meanwhile, like Sonic Lost World!

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U look awesome! The trailer blew me away and now I'm all excited! Mega Man being announced was definitely the best part of that!

Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, anyone? Oh man, I can't wait!

I'll also be getting Wind Waker HD. That's gonna be lots of fun!

All in all, I really enjoyed the Nintendo E3 Direct presentation. People were complaining about them not holding a conference, but I preferred it this way because it was more personal. We also got to see more about the games. Oh man, this is going to be an awesome year!

But anyways, I lost the bet. See y'all in a week (or however long the ban lasts, I forget...)!

Indeed. They work best as, and are probably my favourite example of, a set. I wish some of Capcom's other dual game releases were half as unique.
