So I have 7 tracks made. Also, I only need to unlock three more bike designs, all of which require 100, 250 and 500 friend points. I only have 50 so far.

Added. And I think the total of unlockables with friend points comes down to... 950? I prefer to race with 3 or more of us, too. Though one of the perks is being able to race on the created tracks that we can do every once in a while for fun while ignoring the points pretty much.
