Not much up with me...just found out my boyfriend is moving away though, which kinda sucks. Apart from that there's nothing of note been happening here, apart from a notable lack of nice weather. ¬¬ it feels like summer hasn't even started yet.

We've got Gamestation and Game. Gamestation is cheaper generally but Game is better for trade-ins. Those are the only chains that sell exclusively games, but other shops tend to sell especially new releases for cheaper, and then of course there's the internet, where everything tends to cost less.

Yeah, games seem to be getting shorter yet more expensive in equal measure as time goes on.
That's how it used to work here too, I don't know why it changed. /: I haven't tried trading in at the other main video game chain (which has always been overall better) in this country, because the nearest is in the capital and times have never been desperate enough that I can justify carting a load of games back and forth around the city. :L
Yeah, the game stores rip people off real bad! I traded in a bunch of ps2 games (back when it was easy) that I'd played when I was little and since lost interest in, and I think the most I got for a game was about £5, and that was for "Barbie: Horse Adventures". I was told that I got more for it because it was rare, but it didn't seem justified to me somehow. x)

That sounds like a plan! Assassin's Creed II is pretty long if I remember rightly so it'll keep you occupied for a while. (or maybe I'm just slow)
That sounds good! Stealth games are rarely done well in my experience, so I'll have to get round to checking that one out.
And indeed, it was just like they figured everyone was pretty much just buying it for the multiplayer so they didn't really need to spend time making a decent campaign. COD4 was way better I'd say. Luckily now I take way more time figuring out games I think merit actually spending money on, mainly because my parents are no longer giving me money to buy stuff, and other than that I just see if I can borrow games from friends if I don't think they'd be worth dishing out the £40 for. RDR was the last game I bought, and I'll be saving my money for Fable III I think. It sucks because before I could've just traded old games in, but the main game store here has all stupid rules about having to bring in a driver's license and utilities bill in to do it, and it's just too much of a hassle.
And I actually have Half Life 2! Again, I bought it around the same time as RDR so I haven't had a chance to play it; once I get sick of Red Dead Half Life 2 will probably take up its place in my Xbox. I bought it preowned though, and I'd heard about the Box thing, but it seemed to me like that wasn't included in my copy. I would check right now, but that would mean movement

Assassin's Creed II is quite good, much better than the first anyway. And as polygon characters go, Ezio is pretty hot. Not that that would interest you of course :L

COD 4 and 6 (I regret buying 6, seeing as the single play lasts about 4 hours & I don't have Live)
Borderlands (not the best)
Assassin's Creed 1 & 2 (I'm dubious about getting the new one - it came out waay too quickly)
Fable II (brilliant potential but felt kinda rushed)
Bully (the most difficult Rockstar game I've played)
Fallout 3 (like you, I didn't play it much - it was really overrated)
Oblivion (I was totally in love with this game a few years ago, and now I can't for the life of me figure out why)
Battlefields: Bad Company 2 (got this around the same time I got RDR, and I was so engrossed with the latter I haven't even played it yet)
A couple FIFA games - because every so often I get a strange urge to play a football/soccer game :L
I think there's a couple others, but they escape me.
