Alas, I was at home. Don't worry--if I'd actually been at the game, I would've crawled my way over to the UGA band section somehow to see if I could say hey--not that I'd be able to pick you out of all those multitudes of band people, though.

But yeah, I didn't feel like shelling out $50+ for a game I knew we were destined to lose.

It made me sad, too. We really didn't play like we were the number two team in the nation (hence why we're number three now, even though we won).

I guess you watched it from home? Don't tell me we were in the same stadium and didn't even get to shout at each other for a second.

Saturday's game made me sad.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay in Columbia (as well as your inevitable win over USC). I'm sad that even though you'll be right in my backyard, I won't be able to visit with you.

The only thing making me reluctant from starting the meetup thread is that I already have a couple major events coming up in the next several months and am not sure where a ZU meetup would fall. I shall have to think on this a bit more!

Y'know, a meetup in Atlanta I don't think would be a bad idea at all. It'd probably be too far for your friends in Texas, Arkansas, etc.--but it could work for you (obviously), me and others in the Carolinas, as well as a few ZU'ers in Florida.

And I know several people in Florida. ^_^ And if Texas counts as Southeastern, I know many, many people there, too. And someone in Arkansas and Missouri (though, that's getting into the Midwest).
