Now you're calling me immature? Just go ahead and make me feel worse.

And apparently, my artwork hasn't benefited. I've listened to people for a long time now. Yet, I still hear the same damn thing over and over.

Also, I don't want to hear only critique. Saying "this is wrong, that looks off, this needs changed" and being on your merry way discourages me. It's like the drawing is automatically bad because of what you're pointing out. I want to know if it at least looks good the way it is. That makes me want to continue to get better because it tells me I have potential.

Right now, I feel like I have no potential.

Stop this "Wah, you're demotivating me" nonsense.
I'm saying all artwork benefits from taking on critique, and if you don't want to apply the critique to your work, then that's your business.

And when I'm being paid to design things for people, I can have worked for 16 hours on something. And if I ask for critique, I won't be upset by it. By asking for critique, I'm asking people to point out what is wrong or that they don't see as correct for me to then change and improve and do the best art I can do.

If you don't want people pointing out flaws in your artwork, then don't ask for critique. Critique IS asking for flaws to be pointed out.

So quite frankly, just grow up.

I don't care what excuses you have for not changing your work. hell, even scan it in and erase the lines on the computer and print it out. I do that all the time, if my eraser doesn't completely remove the lines.
    There are solutions to everything.

    A rubber what? Eraser?

And are you telling me my art is bad? Gee, thanks. I feel very inspired.

Also, say you worked long hours on a drawing. You show it to someone. Wouldn't you feel upset if that person told you to change a bunch of things after how much effort you put into it? That's exactly how I'm feeling now.

Also, my lines are too dark now to simply erase and change.

    You can change anything.
All you need is a rubber.

If you want to make a truly good art piece, then if someone suggests critique, you rub out what you've done, and change it. It's as simple as that.
The point of critique is after you get it, you change your picture based on the given comments.

The very nature of critique is to change and alter your work for the better, not say "thanks, but I'm not changing it now"

I can't make my own art thread. I'm not allowed for awhile.

If I could, I would. I'd much rather do that.

You're still right, though. However, sometimes I'm not able to change much or anything at all. That's what I hate...

Like I said, I'm not going to debate it.
Take what you want from the critique. Or don't take anything.

    The idea of asking critique is this;

You present your piece. People make some comments about it. You then after hearing critique go, and change your artwork accordingly in oder to improve, based on the points raised.

It's not a constant talk about your work in particular, Others want critique.
If you want a place to talk about your artwork lengthily, then make your own art thread.

When did I say I disagreed? I do agree with that you said. So I changed my intention instead of the pose.

    I'm not ignoring you.
I said my critique. It's finished. I moved on to someone else that asked for it.

I'm not gonna debate it lengthily just because you don't agree.

Um, why did you ignore me in the Critique Central? I had no intention of arguing against your critique. Your critique was correct and I'm going to keep it in mind for future pictures. I said I appreciated it.

I was also mistaking when I first said I was intending for my character to be landing. I realized the pose I used didn't work with that, as you said. So, I decided she's between a jump and a landing instead. I'm not trying to get out of changing anything or be lazy. I just don't want to end up ruining the picture and getting rid of all the effort I put into it by erasing what I have.

Again, I thank you for your help. It really has given me ideas for improvement in later sketches. Honest.

What? I'm not a victim. I may be sometimes, but certainly not all the time. :/

But anyway, I was really talking to both of you. However, you shouting that Florina is the best spriter ever and you telling me the other day you don't like my artwork makes me think you just think my work will be terrible. But that's your opinion, which I can't change, so yeah.

    See you around.

Just so you know, I wasn't ignoring, I assumed you were talking to Florina since she was the one talking about the lack wings, not I.

I posted this originally, but deleted it, as I don't want to spam Florina's thread up with your "I'm such a victim" attitude.

I meant that I didn't like the way you showed your interpretation, not that I didn't like the interpretation itself.

If I wasn't clear on it, then that's a mistake on my part. I also know I was going to ignore you, but I changed my mind for the moment. After this, I'm no longer speaking to you.

I dont really care if you're taking me seriously enough to take it offensively, but your denial in your actions and behaviour is astounding.
And I'm not the only one that notices it.

    Have fun, cupcake!

No, I didn't. I never said I didn't like your interpretation. Your interpretation of a Samus with short hair is fine. It's not to my tastes, but it is by no means wrong. I just don't think you pulled it off correctly on paper. There's a difference.

And stop saying I never accept critique! I always accept it, even if people think I don't! If you want to think I'm lying, go ahead, but I know I'm being truthful. You're really starting to piss me off, SD. If you reply to this, I'm ignoring you. I have no need to talk to someone who enjoys harassing me.

And as for whining to Jehanne "Oh noes, he said he don't like my art" etc, You said exactly the same thing about my piece.
That, and the fact you never accept critique and constructive criticism simply means you can't take what you yourself dish out.

Will stop ****ing shoving words in my mouth?! I don't reject any criticism given to me and I NEVER claim my artwork is fine. In fact, I'm almost never completely satisfied with my artwork and that's why I ask for critique. If I thought it looked fine, I wouldn't ever ask for help.

Pretty ironic seeing that every-time people try to help you, you reject them absolutely and claim your artwork is fine, and it's far too good or detailed to change.
    I suppose this is karma.

Note to self: never try to help SD. He'll just throw it back in your face.

And for the record, I never try to use the same set of eyes and facial expressions or be cliche.

Oh, I forgot you like generic, cliché female animé characters with unfeasibly long hair with the same set of eyes and facial expressions, my bad.

And that's fine if you don't really like my interpretation. I don't really like your artwork in general.

I know it's your interpretation. I'm saying I don't really like it. I've never played the games, so I can't comment on the personality, but I liked her long ponytail. I also think you could've made her look less like a man, but kept the short hair and all anyway.

I easily mistook her for a man and I'm sure others who don't know much will too.

EDIT: Oh, also, men cry too. Not just women.
