Such an amazing song that is usually skipped over.
-
Queen of light took her bow
And then she turned to go,
The prince of peace embraced the gloom
And walked the night alone.
Oh, dance in the dark of night,
Sing to the morn - ing light.
The dark lord rides in force tonight
And time will tell us all.
Oh, throw down your plow and hoe,
Rest not to lock your homes.
Side by side we wait the might
Of the darkest of them all.
...
The pain of war cannot exceed
The woe of aftermath,
The drums will shake the castle wall,
The ring wraiths ride in black, ride on.
Sing as you raise your bow,
Shoot straighter than before.
No comfort has the fire at night
That lights the face so cold.
Oh dance in the dark of night,
Sing to the mornin light.
The magic runes are writ in gold
To bring the balance back, bring it back.
At last the sun is shining, the clouds of blue roll by,
With flames from the dragon of darkness
The sunlight blinds his eyes.

Get on WLM whenever possible. No Xfire for several weeks.

Screwed up eyes and screwed down hairdo.

I was thinking more along the lines of post count, location, posting style, posting history, profile information and the fact that I linked to my own threads in my signature. =P
Thanks, though. It is a pretty cool name.

yeh, mine is well maintained... as for them costing more... it's true. That's why you buy them second or third hand used(they last forever anyway so it shouldn't matter a ton). I have a life time truck. I bought it for $3200 and simply put, I'm stoked. as said before though, that was my father driving getting 30mpg on the freeway over a long trip. I'm getting closer to 25 on the freeway and 20 in town, so it's rather comparable. So basically I'm a huge nerd when it comes down to it.

We are having latency problems on Xfire. Fix them.

Typing in the dark is really hard.

Snow_Storm knows what he's talking about.

Yes. I would have thought it was obvious. =P

so why do I need a big truck? My dad bought a new one(new to him, basically the same thing, but with an extended cab and a lot of extras, from out of state where the engines have more lenient enviromental requirements[basically his truck is turned up by california standards out of the showroom floor since it was designed for towing at higher altitude use] ) and I got first dibs on his old one. I bought it from him for under whole sale. Why? Why not, worst case scenario I can sell it for more than I paid for it. I intend to drive it until the thing falls apart, diesel engines can go 1,000,000 miles if they're taken care of. Would you pay 3.2k for a truck which has had around $7000 worth of upgrades on it, is in excellent condition, and is only being sold because the previous owner got an upgraded version of the same thing...
-
it was 30 on the freeway with only a shell
note that it's also a diesel, and that itself means it gets around 30% better fuel economy than gasoline based trucks(15*1.3= 20) also remember that this is without much of a load and that the truck has been modified a bit(better air intake and exhaust, taller and skinnier wheels which reduce rolling resistance, and a fair amount of tuning) along wit the fact that the 30mpg figure was gathered by my father who drives rather slowly. right now I'm finding that I myself am getting just over 20mpg in town and I'm not sure about freeway mileage.
as for big trucks having mediocre acceleration... depends on the power to weight ratio. Diesels have A LOT of low end torque. They actually accelerate better than gas based motors at lower speeds. yes, peak horse power is lower(diesel engines can't reach as high of a rotation speed), but you still end up with more HP when you're pushing 1000-1700rpm, than you do on a gas based engine at 1300-2200rpm
