You don't have balls flying in through your window as businessmen try to play through in your living-room, right?

I honestly didn't know that you were so into martial arts. How many tournaments have you been in? Does your current apartment have cheaper rent because it's next to a golf course or you just don't care as long as it's close to your school/work?

I'm going to be in a similar situation man. So I will feel your pain.

lol, at least I know that feeling.

Hi! WOw, well the last time we chatted, I've become an uncle! I'm not ready to become a father quite yet, so the title of uncle suits me well for the time being. This is Mikaela (the big guy is me lol). At the time of that picture she was about 6 months old (right now she's 10m). She just learned how to crawl! I'm sorry for acting like a gushing idiot, but she really is that amazing. Whenever she laughs it reminds me of a baby tiger trying to roar/meow.

I've sorta given up gaming as of late. I've noticed that it's a really expensive hobby, and it's also time consuming:/ I'll always be a gamer at heart, but when my wallet is starving, I have to sacrifice something. But where one hobby dies, another one enters. I've found that I've been reading a whole lot more. Compared to gaming, the books are cheaper (even the used ones), and the time to complete a book takes longer than it does to complete a game, so that's an added benefit. I only wish I had the passion for reading when I was younger. I find that I would have been more productive in a world before the internet existed. God, it's too much of a distraction. I have to keep reminding myself to stay "unplugged" for a little bit, but it seems like you haven't had that problem (aka: I need to get a life).

Anyways, online I haven't been scouring around ZU all that much. I usually just focus on my VM and PM correspondences. So, ZU has basically become my e-mail (everything in my actual e-mail has turned to junk...just like my actual mail).

It took two months for you to reply to me, so I just thought it would be fair for me to take two months to reply to you (). Nah, I've just been busy. Sometimes I wish I did have a time machine. Let's say I had something due (like a paper). I'd go into the future when it was done, take it from my future self, go back to the present, and then hand it in. Seriously, if I had a time machine, I'd use it for selfish reasons, realize I've undone the order of things, feel responsible about them, and then try to undo my own wrongs (well at least the major ones).

How have you been? I had this strange ass dream about me being a slave from the past, who's traveled into the future (our 2010 present), and now timetraveling slave owners are after me. They are trying to kill me because not only do I have information about the future now (and that a time machine exists), but that I'm "just a slave". Then I read up in history that there have been other people whom have "just dissapeared" from the pages of history, and I find out that they also mysteriously time traveled to this 2010 present.

    It's sorta Terminator-like concept of a dream, but that's what I had

Nah, that sorta make sense. What most science fiction time travelers would love to see is that they alter something personal from the past (like having parents or not), but it doesn't change their present (aka: the future). For example, if I went back in time and told my younger self to go to a certain concert/event (whatever) would that really change my present/future self to not exist anymore? All I'm changing is one evening's event. Now of course what can change is what happened at the concert (like did I meet a girl, did I get into a fight, did I get arrested or whatever). And if I change the past, who'll know if I am eligible to go back into the past again once I've reached my timeline.

For example, if Neil Armstrong (after landing on the moon and returning to earth) went into a time machine to a point in his life before ever becoming an astronaut (let's say childhood), and changes one minor thing would that really change his present of not becoming an astronaut? I suppose the change in the past has to be major.

If you time travel to the past, have a conversation with your younger self, and remember having this conversation with "a stranger" (realizing it was yourself), then doesn't that prove that no future altercations happen? Your future self won't stop to exist?

Log-in problems? Why didn't you e-mail me? It's not the first time we mods help our members outside of ZU. Well I'm glad you're back anyways.

I'm doing pretty well actually. Came back from vacation a few weeks ago, and I'm feeling great! How about you?

I have a time paradox question:

Ok, how much does life experience really alter a person's way of thinking? Ok if you lived in different regions of the country, that may alter your life, however what about if 1-2 major events never happened? Let's take a look at these timelines:

    1. You live a nice and happy life with your family and go to college.
    2. Your parents commit suicide and you're adopted by your aunt & uncle.
    3. Your parents commit suicide and you're left in Foster Care and is adopted by another family.
    4. Your parents commit suicide and you're left in Foster Care till you're 18 (and then you're on your own).

How is this a time paradox scenario? I was just thinking of a strange scenario if you could go back in time and save your parents from killing themselves. If you saved your parents, then wouldn't that mean that the Adult You wouldn't exist, and therefore you wouldn't have invented time travel? Now we don't know if there is destiny and it is inevitable, because if there was, then that would mean you would be the inventor of timetraveling no matter how you grew up? If that's the case, then you wouldn't disappear. You could have lived any one of those timelines and nothing in the future would truly change, right?

Oh you know, not much. Just trying to understand the universe, that's all. Tell me about Chicago (not only your trip there, but in general), I've always wanted to go. Is it anything like New York? Sorry, that, Boston, and Miami are my only frames of reference of major cities I've visited. Obviously it's not like Miami

How are things on your end of the universe?

You went to Chicago! Did you stay over there for the New Year? If you did, I hope you weren't outside (does Chicago have it's own gigantic ball? or fireworks? Wait fireworks would probably be dangerous in the windy city) it must have been cold!

New Year's wasn't as exciting. I visited my cousin's house on the 29th and 30th, then headed over to Boston again to spend New Year's. We ate, we talked, surprisingly not so much drinking (apparently I'm not a big fan of pink champagne), but it was a rather calm and quiet New Year's.

    Happy Belated New Year's!

Up north where? Any good snow to snowboard on? You seem like the snowboarding type. I can't do any tricks, but I can maneuver myself down the mountain just fine. My Christmas was great. I ate a ****ing lot. We drank and made Pictionary into a drinking game, we talked, mingled, slept, and repeated. I'm sure my New Year's Eve is going to be the same thing. What are your plans for New Year's Eve?
