Websites with lots of traffic means two things: bigger bills, bigger ad payments. The former is due before the latter comes in. When your site grows exponentially in the span of a month, that can cause problems in terms of paying the bills.

I was undecided on whether or not FSS could go in between SS and OoT. I still thought SS was first (or the earliest as of yet, as they said).

Though I was actually pretty surprised at how many references there seemed to be to the FSS. Like how the final boss supposedly turns into the Trident of Power. And things such as the Digging Mitts, Gust Jar, elements powering the Master Sword, absence of both Zoras and Gerudo, the fact that the MC backstory sounds hauntingly similar to the story of SS, etc.. After all, the same director (Hidemaro Fujibayashi) who worked on MC worked on SS. I would think that if there was anybody who would care about making a FSS connection, it would probably be him.

Well, if he had mentioned anything about FSS going in between, then we would pretty much have most of the timeline confirmed, which is something they apparently don't want us to know about because it's "top secret" info for whatever reason. He never really confirms or denies any such placement in those interviews (even when specifically asked about it), so it's still pretty vague at best, which just might be exactly what he wants it to be.

I'm also really starting to get the impression that they don't even care about the 2D games (at least story-wise) anymore. I mean, they pretty much ignored the entire AoL backstory, as well as the OoT-AlttP connection that they had going ever since WW came out.

I think it's just best to wait until we have played SS.

Eh... well that doesn't necessarily mean that OoT comes directly after SS, just that it comes after.

I was really hoping that there was finally something to confirm it one way or another, since lately I've been pretty back and forth between this whole "SS-FSS-OoT or SS-OoT-FSS" thing.

In that FS topic, you mentioned that there was a quote where it was confirmed that OoT goes right after SS. Where does it say that?
