I am doing both at once. I am worried, though (plEASe correct me if I'm wrong), that building muscle before I lose fat will make it so that I will have loose skin when I do lose weight. I want my arms to be tight and fit.
And that would be grEAT, but yeah, I do have 10-lb free weights and push-up handles. I also go swimming: I see that you advise two days on followed by a day off and so on, but would that be a good schedule for someone just looking to tone up their body and not build a ton of muscle?
I mostly want to lose tummy and thigh fat.

I am working out myself too: I would like to lose 10-15 pounds and put on a bit of arm muscle.
