I am eagerly anticipating that new Metroid game, though. Really wanna get my hands on the Prime Trilogy... I dislike the console itself, but there's enough to warrant a purchase. Compared to my friends, I'm very merciful. If they had their way, all the Nintendo staff would contract rabies and cannibalize each other.

Yes, I imagine Nintendo Power has great things to say about Nintendo games. XP But as I explained earlier, my Wii is out of commission. Not touching it till I get a PAL/NTSC-J version. It angers me that the refresh rate can't be altered on NTSC-U Wii's. Could be fixed with a simple firmware update. Hell, let me code it. It'll take five seconds. Copy, paste, done.

I can't help being amused that the Pokemon team ran out of rocks and plants, so now they're tacking random "culturally appropriate" terms on the older games and re-releasing them. I know, the incompatibility of the content was a pain, I understand why they're doing it and why it should be done. I'm just not interested. The metagame never really changes.

Maybe I'm just mad at Nintendo for their repeated violations of things we gamers take for granted. Like...effort. *Disgruntled ex-Nintendo fanboy*

Brawl is a load of fun to play by yourself! It's hilarious! XD

I crack myself up every match I play.

TP was no disappointment either. To me it was everything OoT ever was, but better. I never had high expectations for it, so that's probably why. And I'm looking forward to Zelda Wii and Spirit Tracks.

Haven't played a Mario game in ages? Go play Super Mario Galaxy! It is ranked as the best Wii title in NintendoPower magazine's 20th anniversary edition. Super Paper Mario and Mario Kart Wii are far from disappointing as well, imo.

I personally loved Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum as well as the GBA remakes of Red and Blue. Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire weren't quite as good as those, but still good. Looking forward to HeartGold and SoulSilver.

I've always been a fan of Nintendo. They have yet to disappoint me, really.

Sorry. XP I'm a bit of a flirt. I'll buckle it down if it bothers you.

I lack the capacity to enjoy Brawl. It's great, lots of fun, but...it's a party game. Most of my friends don't have much opportunity to hang out, and the Wii's internet is god awful for most people. Brawl isn't much fun to play by yourself.

I suppose I've veered away from Nintendo in the last few years. Pokemon stopped appealing to me after Gold & Silver. I haven't played a Mario game in ages, though not for lack of wanting to. Zelda has gone downhill... >> TP was a disappointment. Great game, but Nintendo went and invoked OoT to overhype it; ended up wrecking the game.

My soul no longer belongs to a company. I'm a fickle critic who enjoys a good game, and the developer can go to hell the second they drop the ball.

Well duh, I play other games! Smash Bros., Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, a few computer simulation games, and some other random stuff.

Single? Maybe. Maybe not. I'm not sure right now. Can't believe someone has actually asked me that. I don't even know if it's happened before.

    I'm currently playing Brawl.

    Okay, three things.

    1. FE being the syntax genius that it is, do you play any other games? Well, you're on ZU, so I guess that goes without saying... What I'm saying is I want to hear about your other interests.
    2. Are you single?
    3. Currently, I'm playing Risen. It's a sandbox RPG. The genre's getting pretty popular recently. Which is good, it's a great genre. Programming needs to advance a bit more before it can be refined, though.

There was no second thing. Only a first and third thing.

Yeah, a lot of stuff from PoR was made better in RD. It was cool to see taunts at the beginning of each battle! Did you know Ike's side taunt in Brawl is the same as his battle taunt in RD? Brawl Ike is like a combination of himself in PoR and himself in RD. He has the voice and taunts of RD Ike, but the general appearance of PoR Ike.

    And yeah, that was Ragnell!

I almost did it again. << *Kicks self*

...Did I mention I can defy the laws of physics?

That was Ragnell? I never noticed. I was too busy swinging it around. Honestly, I thought they skimped on the ranged sword attacks in PoR... You only see them in a couple of maps, so it needs to be dramatic. But it doesn't mesh with the ground, and it's really pixelated. If they'd made it brighter, turned up the opacity a bit, and added a burst trail on the ground, it would've been perfect. Most of the other animations were cool, though. That brief pause before each battle did bother me after awhile. Thank god they fixed it in RD.

Yes! Finally I find someone who doesn't hate RD and PoR's battle animations! I really liked Ike's critical attacks in either game. He fecking rules. Aether rules too. So does Ragnell. Big golden sword that has an indirect attack. I love it! And Ike can freaking wield that thing with one hand. He's just amazing. You can tell Ragnell is quite a heavy sword because of the way Ike holds it in his side taunt in Brawl, plus the fact it makes the stages shake every time it hits the ground!
