I'm afraid I'm a bit clueless with terms like that. Gothic fiction is fiction written in that era, no? I don't really judge a book by the time period it's in, but rather the plot. I've probably read my fair share of gothic fiction though.

I've placed it behind Mercy in my to-read list (so I'm not actually reading two books at once o.O) so I'll probably finish it later than you. It's nifty. The start was...odd.

The ending was so fantastic. I'm definitely going to carry on the series. I'll see if I can find the next one in a library, and if I can't I'll simply buy it x3.

I'm currently reading two books at the same time. It's quite fun. Notably, there's Mercy by Jodi Picoult. I adore unsuitable adult dramas. The other is Sleep, Pale Sister by Joanne Harris. It's quite good.
