Yeah, you get the legendary weapons in 2 and 2.5. x3 Where the loot actually scales with you, instead of being all around random.

Also I was talking to /v/, and they say the reason why the DLC is pretty tough is because we haven't done playthrough 2 and 2.5 where all the good loot drops.
