Marcus is a paladin you get at the beginning of Eliwood mode. You are in Lyn mode which is only 10 chapters. after completing the 10th chapter, the game "ends" and you play as Eliwood as the main lord. You do get all the Lyn characters back eventually though. DO NOT OVERUSE MARCUS! Hes a pre-promoted unit that eats alot of experience and is easily outclassed.
