Melpy here. New to the lets play scene.

I'm starting with a Mystery Case Files game, Return To Ravenhearst.
I'd love some feedback or anything.
Just looking at this thread is good enough.

I used camtasia and it did some weird zoom thing by itself. Lol I have no idea what that was about.

I also wouldn't mind doing plants vs zombies as well. Awesome game.

I'll watch this when I'm at my PC.

As for the zoom thing Camtasia did, during editing there should be a little blue diamond on the track between video and audio 1. Delete that and the zoom should go away.

Will watch later.

Thoughts:

1. Cool game. Definitely a unique choice to LP, and will probably lend itself well to an informational playthrough which is what you sound like you're shooting for.

2. SPEAK UP MAN. It's hard to hear you over the game. You can also edit this in Camtasia after recording, but that's not the perfect subtitute for being loud yourself, if you can.

Other than a good start. You have that camera shy that all first time LPers get, btu that should go away in time.

Ah I didn't think the game was loud. I think I did have it up fairly loud though. Yeah, thats easy to fix in editing.

Never heard of Plants vs. Zombies! That should be a fun one to watch! All of you introduce me to some good games!

Plants Vs Zombie is a wonderful game. I've played the majority of it myself and watched more than one LP of it. Which is weird because it doesn't seem like a game that's conducive to LPing, but for some reason it's interesting.

What do you use to record Final Fantasy X?

Dazzle dvd recorder with pinnacle studio 14.

What resolution does it record at?

Well I have it set to 720x576.
But there's a few options you can play around with.
