Which one did you watch? His very first LP was SMB3, but he recently redid that one this past summer.

What do those of you doing console recording use? We're in the day and age now of computers that can handle capture cards with zero lag and screens big enough to play your console games on. Since tehre's no need for A/V splitters and such anymore, are you guys just using camtasia or FRAPS? or do you have some other setup with seperate audio/video recording and just sync the audio and video in the editing process?

okay holy crap....i just looked up camtasia...there's no way all of you have actually purchased that software. if you have i'm completely and utterly at a loss for words. no way i'm paying 300 bucks for a piece of software i'm using for leisure

Funny thing is, everyone says he has the best, most soothing voice they've ever heard.

I guess that makes us conforming non-conformist hipsters then.

Date on the vid was June of this year, so I guess it was the redone one.

Hell, Blizz's voice is more relaxing than what I'be heard of NCS. I'll try to give him more of a chance at another time.

So what does everyone here think of the Two Best Friends Play series on YouTube?

Is it just me or does YouTube take longer with "processing" videos these days?

I'm waiting for my next vid to finish processing but I can't keep my eyes open... @_@

The worst thing about being a let's player is all that processing and uploading nonsense you gotta do. Takes so long.

Like, one day I'll do a bunch of recording and so have a little hill of episodes to sit on. Then I have a time planned for rendering an episode. Finally, I'll plan to upload a video at a certain time.

Kind of a pain, but I can do other stuff Away From Keyboard while I render and upload an episode.

I've tried rendering and recording at the same time. My computer is not cut out for it.

i can usually record while uploading but not while rendering. it takes quite the robust pc to do both at the same time.

i just hooked up my dazzle and i'm less than thrilled. i expected more out of this piece of equipment. they plaster "HD" all over their crap but the thing only captures S-Video. I'm half tempted to just use my credit card get a Hauppauge Colosus.

I really need to get back into the habit of watching the LPs going on in here to give feedback and such. The problem lies in the fact that I'm watching Pokecapn's Sonic LPs. And Pokecapn's LPs are incredibly amazing. I am sure you can all understand.

So now that I've finished DKC I don't know what game to do next. Hmmm.

It's probably a good idea to have that figured out. My partner and I are almost done with the main story of RE5, but we have a number of things planned for afterwards (the DLC of RE5, Fable 2, Jak 3).

Been a busy weekend for me. I'm sure I'll think of something.

What games do you think would be good for an LP? Maybe we can help you out, there.

When I watch LPs I tend to like stuff with good commentary, so the only real requirement I have for a game is that it can produce an interesting commentary. I'm probably going to stick with 2D sidescrollers for at least the next LP, though I wouldn't mind doing stuff like Pokemon at some point.

I have a fairly extensive game (and rom lols) collection to choose from. I was thinking maybe Yoshi' Island.

Generally, Pokemon LPs are looked down upon, unless you are really good. This sounds kinda hypocritical coming from me, who got into LPs from Slowflake's Pokemon LPs, but if you go into the SA LP forum, you'll see that they only allow Pokemon if you do something particularly interesting, like the Viet Crystal LP that is rather well-known among LPs.

Ah, really? I've had a couple friends tell me they'd like me to do a Pokemon one, which is the reason I was considering it. If I were to do it, I'd probably Nuzlocke it.

i'll admit i typically skip the pokemon lets plays. i just can't get into them like i can with a forward momentum game.

that being said, your commentary is very entertaining so i'd at least watch a bit before ignoring your updates
