World War 3?

Well I was thinking about some of the current affairs around the world and it somehow crossed my mind. World war 3, will it happen? What could be the reason for it? It happend two times already, will we survive the third one should it come to this? What do you think?

I really don't see a WW3 anytime soon. I can't see global events escalating that far.

Yea I doubt that we will have another one for quite awhile.

Of course it will happen, the real question when will it be. I doubt it will be anytime soon, but I believe it might happen within my lifetime.

I don't know what weapons will be used in WWIII, but I do know WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones.~Someone famous.


Seriously it wont happen for a while, wars will, but to that size I doubt. When it does however you should be fearful, for many will die in such a way never seen before.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if WWIII happened in our lifetime, what with the dramatic rises in Islamofacism and general global tension. However, I'm very skeptical that we will see a sudden global meltdown in, say, the next 10 or 15 years. Personally, I think we're looking a bit farther down the road than that.

But really, who is to to say?

Putin's Russia is already re-arming and starting up old experiments. If not a third world war, then certainly another cold war. I hope.

Hmm I'm kinda scared of all the nuclear weapons. I mean what if it all comes down to those mega bombs. I don't think that we would survive such a mess.
Yes exactly as A. Einstein said the fourth one would have been fought with sticks and stones.

I think that the third war(if it's gonna happen) will happen because of water and not some things like black gold and gas aswell I too am concerned that I will still be alive when it starts. Russia has last week already demonstrated the new missiles and tanks in their arsenal (cold war? Could be possible).

Which old experiments would those be?

It Is Me has a point about the water. I read an article about future water shortages, and how future wars would be fought over water. Though I don't think that would be enough to cause a third World War.

No I don't believe directly that way either. The thing with water would be from my point of view like Balkan, it will probably be just a barrel of gun powder, waiting for something to egnite it.

Dude, it'd be like, totally cool if there was another cold war, man.

I am of course joking.

It will involve China, the US, and probably be over a precious resource such as fresh water. As a world war the combatants will not be limited to China and the US, but those are givens.

I don't think WW3 will happen in our lifetimes, or even our children's lifetimes, however, I'm fairly certain it will happen. Personally, I think it's going to be over Communism, and China will be the instigator. Russia and America will also be involved.

I see WW3 being fought over resources, water, food, oil, etc.

It's a theory I've had for a while, though now that I think about it, it could potentially be over resources, most likely oil. I'm sticking to my Communism theory mainly because problems with resources are starting to be dealt with.

...wait. What? This isn't the 50s. Communism isn't a scare-tactic. Most people in the civilized world(oddly excluding America..) realize that Communism is a pretty decent ideology when done in the right amount. Look at Europe. It's verging to that point, and is growing rapidly.

I'm talking about Communism the Wrong Way, such as China or until just recently Cuba.
