Spying on IMs

Hey Everyone-

I was IMing on AIM (AOL) and I was talking to one of my friends privatly about private information about people in our school that like other people. The girl we were talking about was "Invisible" apparently and saw our whole convo about her. She was spying on our IMs. Now I know that I should do something about this and all, but how do you do it and why? I need to know what she is saying about me now. She says she fogave me 5 times but i wanna double check. So, how do you do it?

how was she spying? IM's are private boxes so unless u went into a chat room to talk about her then she didnt see anything. if u were in a chat room then u shoulda thought about that before hand

i wasn't, I was using meebo.com and that's still private IMs. I wasn't even talking to her b4 she found out. I think my friend might of told her.

I'm pretty sure that's illegal. And maybe it's not spying, maybe one of your friends invited her while she was in invisable mode and she didn't say anything.

The person you were talking to could have sent her the conversation.

With a site like Meebo, the im convos are saved onto the site server instead of your computer. it's possible she hacked into your account and saw them there. Altho I doubt she did. Your friend prolly just showed the convo to someone who showed her.

okay yeah. with a site like that its different.

this may be off topic slightly, but i have 2 friends who constantly show PM's to each other. it gets frustrating, because i'll tell something personal to one friend, and the other will PM me asking me about it.

one of them definitely isnt, but the other is a very nice person who i'd rather not be upset with.(I'm pretty sure the 2 are sisters)

it's...odd.
the one i'm friends with is extremely nice and she's always chirpy and chearful. but i've noticed that when she logs off, the other one logs on, and vice versa.
they both type the same, and both seem to always know what the other has done or said.

plus they both have said that they go to the same school.
i'm sure they're sisters, but i have no clue why they wont admit it.

...Right, I was thinking we could maybe get some good debate going on here, but it really isn't looking like it.
