Re: Links awakening and Phantom Hourglass

Link's Awakening was a dream, but the nature of the sea in Phantom Hourglass is debatable. At the end, the spirits call that sea the World of the Ocean King. Some people take this to mean that it's an alternate world like Termina. Other people think it's just another section of Hyrule's Great Sea. Then, as you mentioned, it could have been a dream.

than if it was another section of the sea, why would link have gained conciesness as one of the pirates said, a second later?

That makes your theory very plausible then. =] I haven't played PH but from the evidence you just said, I'd bet my money on it being a dream .

I actually just finished LA like a day ago and it was EFFIN amazing. ^_^ I enjoyed it a lot.

Re: Links awakening and Phantom Hourglass

Well, personally I have always thought both to be dreams. Many argue that "if it was a dream, how could Link still have the Phantom Hourglass?", well if you beat LA without dying you will see Marin flying overhead (just as she wished), and it is quite obvious (at least I think it is), that LA was a dream. And yet, Marin, who didn't exist, now exists. So doesn't that mean that the Ocean King could have let Link keep the Phantom Hourglass as a remembrance of his trials? It is confusing, I agree. Personally I sort of believe that Koholint Island and where Link is in PH is the same. I know that the area of PH is significantly larger and mainly water, but it could be possible that Koholint got larger and was flooded. I don't know. Now I'm confused.

Re: Links awakening and Phantom Hourglass

Maybe the ghost ship is a portal to a paralell dimension like termina.

There are two timelines(Child timeline and adult timeline) and one extra parallel world(as we see in LA(Koholint),MM(Termina) and PH(Oshus world). It's possible to get (e.g.) from the Child Timeline to Adult timeline by passing another portal that leads to whatever(LoZ for example).

I think the key to this whole thing is figuring out what exactly the Wind Fish is or represents. It seems like the answer is trying to scream at me from the back of my head, but I just can't hear it.

Re: Links awakening and Phantom Hourglass

If PH is a dream, where is the homeland of the Gorons in WW? Why is Linebeck's ship there? It doesn't make any sense! This "it was all a dream!" ending to PH really angered me...

LA was the dream of the Windfish and not Link's dream and PH is in another world not in a dream.

Re: Links awakening and Phantom Hourglass

Hello! I am new to the forum... I am seeking out help with zelda, the minnish cap.

I can't figure out how to "throw a bomb" I am trying to get the bomb bag to carry more bombs. I have checked a couple of walkthrough/faq's, but the just tell me to throw the bomb into the spirit shrine.... I can't throw it. I can only set in on the ledge. (which is ineffective)

Thanks in advance for help!
