Why choose when you can emulate them both on your PC for free? That way you can keep your money, you don't have to choose, and if you don't like either game, you can just remove it from your hard drive.

The real thing always works better.
Also, it's more legal.

You can't compare ALttP to TMC since ALttP is a console game back when they were actually challenging and TMC is a handheld game when they started shooting for the casual crowd. So of coarse ALttP is way better than TMC, but you should get TMC anyway because it's still fun.

It depends- some people prefer more of a challenge, others prefer character development and personality.

A Link to the Past has more of a challenge, but The Minish Cap has more of an active overworld, character personality and life, and quite a lot of sidequests for a GBA game. The storyline and villain are also lesser-seen in the series as whole, so it doesn't concern Ganon or the Trifroce, but a different villain and a different sword (the Four Sword).

^To me, difficulty is the only thing ALttP has over TMC. TMC did much better in all other areas, imo. The game rules. ^^

Buy ALttP, It only took me 3 days to beat TMC, it took about 3 months for ALttP, you can play even longer on ALttP. It has Magic Cape!

And Link is WANTED!!!!

LttP is on VC for cheaper, with better graphics and audio, and without the horribly annoying tacked on shrieks from Link. If you're getting it on the GBA, get Minish Cap.
