My method: Kill all Phantoms in the TOTOK, and get treasure chests. Repeat process.

Getting high scores in mini-games, such as archery, cannon-firing and Goron rolling, helps as well.

Also, there are many enemy ships on the sea. To get more ship parts, you can bomb them, and then salvaging the ship parts at the red crosses that appear once they've been sunk.

Re: ship parts - Phantom Hourglass

I always found the easiest way to get all (golden) ship parts in a very short time to be the archery minigame. If you score more than 2000 points (and with a little practice, that's not a problem), you receive a rare ship part with a high probability. I collected tons of ship parts with that game, because you ALWAYS get a ship part by scoring at least 1700 points. Unlike in the other minigames, where you also get treasures or rupees by scoring high.

The Ocean King Temple is also a nice way to get ship parts, but certainly not as fast as the minigames.

Also, four of the golden ship parts can be unlocked in the multiplayer mode by beating the challenges.

Even easier to ask people to copy their file, swap friend codes and they can give you whatever you need and they never lose it either.

Re: ship parts - Phantom Hourglass

If you keep going through the Temple of the ocean king then in the lower parts of the temple you get ship parts easily. One way to get parts there is to kill all the phantoms and some floors reward you with a chest that has a ship part in it. Also in the sea there are those miniblin ships that shoot at you with cannons if you defeat the main ship after it sinks it leaves it loot behind so just use the grabling hook to get the treasure the sunken ship has left behind and you often get ship parts.

That's how I got all mine. And if you get Platinum membership at Beetles shop ship the ship parts there are cheaper too and randomly he has different parts so if you have lots of money and he has cheap ship parts buy then even if you have them because something new will replace them and you get new parts from him too.

His wares change at midnight, according to your ds clock. You can get to the Mask shop ship before noon and midnight to increase your odds of finding new parts.
