Why is it called Spirit Tracks?

Like, i know because its about a train and such. thats obvious. but think about, almost all the other games have had hints and stuff in the title. or at least what the game will be about.

OoT: You travel through time in this game, and you use the magic ocarina.

PH: The phantom hourglass is one of the main items in the game.

TWW: The Wind Waker is the object that controls the winds, which is like the main thing in the game.

TMC: You have a minish wizard turned into a cap at your main ally.

Those are just a few examples, btw.
But why would this game be called Spirit tracks? Spirit=I dont know, and tracks= The train.

So what does everyone think? Like maybe that phantom you control is the spirit?

It would seem that the Spirit of a Phantom seems to help Link out in the dungeons, and the "Tracks" in the title means train tracks.

thats what i was thinking too.
maybe you get to go to the spirit world too or something, idk. ha

The Tracks are for Spirits only. Link is actually dead all throughout the game. You heard it here first.

Yeah, like in Phantom Hourglass, where just "Hourglass" didn't sound cool either, so they called it "Phantom Hourglass" and justified the name by calling the main enemies in the game "Phantoms". They sure will come up with something Spirit too, I bet. ^^

Well, the fairies in Phantom Hourglass were called spirits. But every connection between fairies and tracks, that I could come up with, probably would be pretty stupid.

well i like that idea. maybe you have kill the fairys and then put them in the train. thats what fuels it. lol.

haha maybe. but i dont think that the gerudo would come back... maybe. i like that idea too ;_;

Ganondorf is a Gerudo, so that means.. uh oh! He's going to be in the game! Ha no.

Perhaps there is a set of "spirit tracks" that Link will encounter later in the game...

Like the King of Red Lions or the Ghost Ship, there will be much more behind the trains then just being a technological advancement... there will be spiritual and magical aspects as well.....

I'm kinda aiming towards some kind of magical(and somehow ancient), railroad that Link will come across....

well I think the phrase "magic railroad" sounds lame, but the idea of a railroad that has supernatural origins sounds a lot less boring than traveling regular train tracks... who knows, Link may be able to create his own railroad path later in the game...

Either way, the name spirit tracks implies that the game will be much more than a boring train ride

Maybe the Tracks are alive! hahaha

So I guess I'm the only one who doesn't think that idea is corny?

You know how you defeat or sneak by Phantoms using the Phantom Hourglass? Well maybee you defeat Spirits using the Spirit Tracks, or maybee the whole thing is like a giant war between fairies and poes or something, and you help fairies, and they help you by healing you. That would explain the fairies helping link and poes not. I dont know.
