Question Spirit tracks train?

any news on if Spirit tracks train will be customizeable like in PH? After i beat PH it was quite the challenge to get every single ship part but it was worth it because now i can show off. Mabye ST can be a little bit harder?

Re: Spirit tracks train?

So far there aren't any news about this, I'm sorry.

But there will be probably something similar to the ship parts to alter the appearance of your train.

My best guess would be, that the wagons theirselves are the "train parts". You know, you probably get different types of wagons for different purposes. For example Link could transport people with a passenger wagon and earn rupees by doing so. Or deliver a freight cart full of Goron bomb flowers to some mine. xD The cannon is also on a seperate wagon, so you probably have to get this one first. I think, in the end you will have like four or five different types of wagons plus the locomotive and you can unlock different skins for all those.

Re: Spirit tracks train?

I think TourianTourist is right about the carts and wagons, I just want the ability to change the color hue once I get the part, or get little decals or design to add on, so then everyone's train will be unique.

Re: Spirit tracks train?

The PH trailer always had Linebeck's ship as the original one when you first meet linebeck, so you never know.

Re: Spirit tracks train?

Its probably more then likely the train will work on the same principle as Linebecks ship, Its almost a certainty really.

Re: Spirit tracks train?

Sucks that you can't control where the train will go (aren't the tracks "premade" or something?), like Linebecks ship.

If you don't know what I mean: You get to navigate where the ship will go, screw around and draw crazy lines on the map. The ship goes along the lines.

Yeah, but when are you really doing this? I mean, if I go from A to B in Phantom Hourglass, I draw the shortest line between A and B and not a bunch of crazy lines. The tracks shown in the trailer are probably more crazy than any route I've ever taken in Phantom Hourglass.

Re: Spirit tracks train?

I'm not fond of this but I will end up buying it anyway.

Customization would be a neat add-on but... maybe it's just another thing that makes the once so simple Zelda-games overly complex.

I don't know. I'm looking forward to the game, of course.

Re: Spirit tracks train?

Hmm, I wasn't entirely won over by the trailer for ST, but I got excited when I saw what looked like Hyrule Castle.

I'll probably end up getting it anyway, even if it shapes up badly.

Re: Spirit tracks train?

I am quite glad that they are finding new ideas like the train, but they will have to do more than that to keep Zelda fresh.

Re: Spirit tracks train?

I am okay with trains, as long as they don't get too modernized. And as long as Nintendo doesn't advance Zelda further (i.e. guns, planes, etc) I am fine with the trains. But I have a feeling that Nintendo will introduce new technology to Zelda. If that happens, I may actually lose interest in Zelda, because Zelda is supposed to be around the age of sword and shield.
