guide for ph, so mad at myself
I just got phantom hourglass a few days ago, im enjoying it really well and am finding it quite easy but with a few difficult parts. I always refuse to use a guide and the only time i was close was in the totok where you had to draw on the slab thing. I figured that out and then continued. Then i annoy my dumb ass self and had to use a guide. Where? On the stupid ghost ship. where it says pull the lever 24513, i couldnt get it. I,
Did the second one first, 4th 2nd etch did it backwards threw bombs at it, lol added all the numbers together then did 1 and 5 I was at it for 1 hour and i was getting really annoyed so i had to check a guide, i really wanted to know. Then it says what was staring me in the face the whole time, pull the 4th one first. Man i was so disappointed. So did any one have a part where they resorted to a guide, and was anyone actually stuck on the part i just mentioned? |

If I have to use I guide, I'm usually stuck in a bad situation. With those types of problems, you should probably go back to the signs that tell you what order to do, and verify if you wrote the right notes or not.
The only major spots I usually get stuck in the game though is the Great Temple of the Ocean King .

Just on the door in the TotOK. I couldn't get that. Everything else was a breeze. And 4 days later my guide got stolen right before The Cobble kingdom. That place was hard!

Re: guide for ph, so mad at myself
I'll be the first to admit, I'm no pro at Zelda puzzles. I usually need a guide a few times throughout every game, but that 24513 puzzle took me like 2 min. Actually one of the easier puzzles in PH (which I found to have some clever ones, and felt proud because I only looked at GFAQS two times. And it was earlier on in the game. Go me).

Re: guide for ph, so mad at myself
I always try not to use guides, I once used them too much and thought it ruined half the fun. It takes a load of frustration before I resort to looking for help. I didn't need guides in PH, but one time came really close. And it was the stupidest, silliest... In the Temple of the Ocean King, the part where it says to press the map to the wall or something... I didn't get that at all, and finally thought I had to look for help, but just when I turned on my computer, I thought "No way... It can't be that simple..." But it was. Just close the DS... ^^'
Ah, this is why I love Nintendo. They make me feel so very stupid xD
