aLttP secret blue chest help?

hey everybody
i've been a zelda-fanatic since I was young and now recently
finished aLttP on my GBA, but i'm still trying to find all items
and secrets

can anyone help me with the following problem?
east of kakariko village in the dark world
(city of the damned or something like that ...)
there's a blue chest that you can't open because it says
the key is inside the chest. the chest will start chasing you
How can i open it?

and another question is:
when I finished the game I received the message that during
the game I used 2 lives.
Is there a reward if you finish aLttp without using any of your lies?

to answer your first question Sep, make the blue chest fallow you and make your way into the Light World by using your Magic Mirror (and make sure the treasure chest is with you because it can be left behind) and make your way towards the desert. Near the entrance to the desert you will find a man sitting near a sign post (also in this screen you will find a couple of crows and a knight to fight with). Talk to the man and he'll tell you that he is done being a thief blah blah blah and he'll open your treasure chest which contains an Empty Bottle.

For your second question, Im pretty sure there isn't a reward for not dying...Im sorry. oh BTW welcome to the boards, I hope I have aided you on your quest to find everything in ALttP.

You know what? I'm still finding things in A Link to the Past even today, we're talking ten years from when I originally played it! It took me, what, seven years before I found out how to get back into the Hyrule Castle dungeon to blast open the cracked walls you see in the beginning, and I found out yesterday that if you go into the Blue Lady's house in Kakariko Village, pick up the jug which has a cucco underneath it and sprinkle Magic Powder on the cucco, it turns into the Blue Lady!

I've got everything in the game, except for 2 heart pieces. It's driving me nuts.

Yeah it's cool. Go in her house and pick up the bottle along the top wall. A cucco's underneath it. When you sprinkle Magic Powder on him, he turns into the Blue Lady, and she's all "what's happened? I liked being a Cucco better" and stuff. It's really, really weird.

Do you know what Heart Pieces they are? Or can you simply not find them?

i try finish the game without dye but i can't, i want found everything too but is hard

You know why you are still finding things on LTTP? because lttp is the best like sage_link

I have a scan of the strategy guide on my computer and it tells where every heart piece is.

You know there are many strategies on the internet on those heart pieces. And besides, you'd probably only use it for the last two heart pices(I found all heart pieces but one in the game without help).

I used it for about 5 pieces of heart and I would have never found them without it.
