Re: Best Handheld Zelda

I would have to go with Link's Awakening because its actually the only handheld Link ive ever played, and the first ZELDA ive ever played at that heh.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

I voted, but since I've only played PH I'm obviously biased. A friend recommended it to me but I had no interest in playing it since the name made it seem like it'd only appeal to hardcore gamers. I am hooked!

Minish Cap all the way! Even though I'm just about to finish it.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

I have to say LA. I've only played LA, MC, and PH. I loved the story of it. It's so mysterious, and really confusing.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

TMC in my opinion is the best. I loved the story and the gameplay, not to mention the familiar characters from previous games, (which destroys all possible elements of my timeline theory) I really liked most of the dungeons. Although Ezzlo got irritating at times, he was still a cool character and he showed how Link got his famous hat.

Phantom Hourglass definitely.
Great graphics, fun dungeons, and quests.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

Phantom Hourglass is the best by far, except it has one flaw. If you don't talk to the right guy at the right time, you can't complete the sidequest to boost your power. On my first account, I didn't talk to the guy, and now its to late.

Link's awakening was my first Zelda game too.

OoA/S. It was fun, had a lot of charms, rings and a massive adventure! Not to mention the same style has LA. LA comes in 2/3rd place, followed by PH and FS and last MC.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

My vote would have to be for Link's Awakening. It was my first Zelda game and it got me hooked on the series. IMO it's the best Zelda game.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

I would have to say Link's Awakening. Phantom Hourglass is good and so is Four Swords, but I just love that game because it is the squeal to one of my favorite games A Link to the Past.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

I prefer ALTTP to LA, but I count it as a SNES game.

Therefore, LA is my favourite handheld Zelda.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

MC, all the way. I've said it so many times before, it is the biggest reunion in the series, using characters from the old as well as new times. Soundtrack was amazing, final boss was epic, it pretty much had everything that a perfect Zelda asked for.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

This is kinda of topic since not a lot of people do it any more, but can people just say what game they like, instead of insulting other games? That would make some PH lovers I know veeerrrry happy.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

All people are entitled to their opinions. if they chose to say why they like one game over another, and then note the shortcomings of the one they didn't prefer, that's entirely their own choice.

Re: Best Handheld Zelda

minish cap was easy and fats to beat and fun to collect all the figurines and play over and over to beat it like 5 times but link's awakening was a great original that had a lot to do with making zelda famous. THAT game is what they should be like now. they've changed the games too much. now its about boats and trains and masks and stuff like that. it used to be just a simple adventure game. which is what it became famous as. dont get me wrong now, i love the new zelda games, it gives a nice little twist to adventure games, but i wish they would make the new games more like how they used to.
