Anyone Find PH Lame?

Most of my mates say that PH is lame, but i really want to get it?
should i? help me if you can?

Well, if you have a NDS, then there is no excuse for not getting the game. Definitely one of the best games for the system, if not the best game.

I personally thought, it was pretty good. Though I didn't have any big expectations for it (unlike for Twilight Princess). The normal dungeons were pretty linear and easy, this was one of the biggest downsides. Also, besides having lots of collecting items, there weren't any deep sidequests. Well, but still okay for a handheld Zelda. But the controls are nice, it was a lot of fun to play the game thanks to them. The Ocean King Temple delivered an unique challenge and the whole sea travelling was much better than in The Wind Waker. I also liked the whole 2,5D style.

But like I said, if you already have a Nintendo DS, then there's no excuse for not getting the game. If you're thinking of buying a NDS because of the game, well, ... depends, on how many other games you would like play on it.

Plus, if your a collector, it'd be in your best interest to get it anyways.

The game sucked; beat it in a week. Buy it for your collection, though.

I'm still working on it. It's a pretty long game for the NDS but it is worth it. The game itself is excellent and is very interactive. The only thing I have to say which is a down side is the Temple of the Ocean King. It gets kind of tough. You got to be patient with it. But if you've played Majora's Mask you probably can do this with ease.

I think you should get it. Everyone has there own opinion on it, but I think it's worth your money. It was for me.

Phantom Hourglass is a very good game, even if it is not by any means the best in the Zelda series. I would highly recommend buying it.

3. It took you that long? I beat TP in that amount of time (difficulty sucked). It only took me 2 and a half days to beat PH.

It's good for the more recent and easy Zelda games, it's definitely worth playing.

1. O.K., I'll bite, why did it suck?
2. Newsflash: The oracles were originally going to be a three game set, one of which was a remake of LoZ. No **** it's long and so was LA, but that was back when Nintendo was in it's prime. Now the handhelds are short and consoles are so easy a beginner can beat them.
3. Then don't tell new people which games suck like your a gosh-damn expert. Besides, you don't have to play all day, everyday. Just play the ones with actual difficulty (i.e. LoZ, AoL, and ALttP).

LA and OoX were handhelds too. So yeah, I would expect a lot better from a Zelda handheld.

Rent PH, and you should be able to beat it in a few days. Then you can decide whether or not it's worth buying.

Edit: Well, I used to expect better out of the series as a whole, but Zelda's going downhill in difficulty and length.

PH is a pretty great game. I think you should buy it. The controls are creative, it has very fun bosses, and it's a pretty decent length if you are a casual player. Definitely worth your money.

If I were you, I would buy it. The game is definitely not lame at all, it's just that the dungeons need to be a little more creative. Many people don't realize that you can only fit so much information on a small cartridge, and I respect Nintendo for trying their best to make the game as fun as possible.

Concluding, the game was really fun. Also, the included online mini-game is cool too.

Not I. Zelda PH rocked out loud. It's got loads of minigames (maze island, Romano's shooting range, cannon game), sidequests (fishing, collecting gems, trading sequence), and Wi-Fi multiplayer, which I've had some of the funnest online games than any of the other DS titles.

Agreed. All of that and PH is set up so that you can experiment with it alot more than previous handheld titles. The last 3 Dungons can be beat in any order and finding out about manipulating the games internal clock was some fun stuff.

The online BattleMode made this game perfect.

Actually, there is a lot less experimentation available. Being able to beat the last 3 dungeons in any order doesn't really compare to the earlier games, where you could do pretty much the entire game in any order.

I would of liked it more if the camera angle is not a bird eye view that makes the experience feels like playing a 2D game except for the sailing. For a bird-eye view Zelda game, it's cleaner with 2D graphics. I'd like a 3D Zelda game for the DS that plays out like OoT/MM with environments that doesn't play out like 2D.

I'd definitely get it. It is a fun good game.

Your friends are probably the same type of people who thought tWWs cel shaded style was stupid.

It's an okay game. It's just kind of fustrating.
I don't know how it ends. Someone stole it from me before I beat Bellum.

I didnt enjoy this game much..the controls bothered me more than anything..i guess if the gameplay was better id probably like it more..
