Compared to most of the other Zeldas, I think so.

If you play Zelda games for the puzzles, then Phantom Hourglass will not disappoint you. It has some of the most inventive puzzles in the series.

I don't. I think it is a good game. I hated the controls though.

Re: Anyone Find PH Lame?

It wasn't a bad game. Not that good as far as Zelda is concerned.
I recommend just renting it. Once you beat you'll never touch it again anyway.

Re: Anyone Find PH Lame?

I thought the game was fun. Worth the buy. What annoy me (pulling the story plot out of the question so as not to ruin anything) is that it had no replay value. I beat it in a week of playing it a few hours after school and at lunch. Never had a point I needed help from an outside source. I don't know if I ever even died. And after a year passed I pulled it out again and beat it without even trying. The puzzles are nothing hard, thought they are fun. I would say rent it since it's short. Or borrow it. I'm selling my copy at gamestop the next chance I get.

Re: Anyone Find PH Lame?

It's a very good game with some innovative ideas. Get it.

BUT BE WARNED:
Don't expect the greatness seen in other Zelda games. This one is definately not as good as your average Zelda game.

There was a fishing pole in the game?

^Collecting lures was also fun, but I cant remeber if you have to find a fishing pole or if Link just had one. Probably the latter.

It wasn't bad. The Temple of the Ocean King got annoying, but it wasn't bad.

If you like Zelda you will enjoy it while it lasts. I love the boomarangs (go where I specifically tell you) control and other touch screen features. I think that the little figfhts are a little too easy but that's not what makes it exciting. It could be one of the easiest Zeldas but theres this one island that I STILL can't beat for the last heart contaier.

I think the smartest thing to do is borrow it off of a friend and if you like it, buy it. It comes with a one-on-one Wi-Fi capture the flag(force gem) that might be fun. I personally hate it simply because I can never win. I suck.

That sounds about right. I like beating my own records again and again. Occationally I try to play the wifi game just to fail again. I can't stand controlling the knights. The screen is too small to draw on accurately.

I havn't played it. But I heard the Dungeons were too easy and such. But since it's a Zelda there's no excuse to not buy it.

Re: Anyone Find PH Lame?

I think every Zelda game has excellent replay value.

Most people wont play a zelda game right after they just beat it but it's alwalys fun to replay it a few months or years after you beat it.

Re: Anyone Find PH Lame?

PH was an experiment. They wanted to test the new style the game engine and probably didn't want to make a game that long as to not waste their time if the style was not liked. Maybe it's because of that maybe not. But in the end they did take a risk to go on a totally new direction with the game and the ST is more like an actual game and less like a test drive like PH.

I did like the game even that I do hate running back to The Temple of the Ocean over and over again. It had new ideas and it did for for a smaller game for a handheld console. Maybe they will take things further in SP and I do hope they do because now after PH they have the basics down and know what they can get away with. I am looking forward to SP and I think PH is not one of those games that you play through once and forget on the shelf afterwards. Not that you would play it all the time but after some brakes and pauses it is worth taking up again from time to time.
