Re: Zelda Collection for GBA

Nintendo is going to release The Legend of Zelda on the GBA June 7th, as well as other classic NES titles. Here's the link for the story: http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/03...s_6092436.html

Re: Zelda Collection for GBA

I look forward to people discussing Legend of Zelda on three separate forums (NES/SNES, GCN, and now GBA). Good times.

Why does everyone want aLttp and OoA/OoS... Nintendo is still making money off them, and they are all available for the GBA...

Re: Zelda Collection for GBA

Link's awakening I wouldn't mind seeing a rerelease of, but the Oracles are both still easy to find. Actually, every single Zelda game could easily have been acquired within the past few years between Nintendo's two systems. (barring the CD-i games and other rareties)

Re: Zelda Collection for GBA

I think it would be a greater idea if they made a Zelda GB Compilmation all put on 1 GBA or 1 GCN cart or disc. It would include the following
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

I mean they've re released almost every single Zelda game except these 3 which are almost impossible to find. Well DX at least.

Re: Zelda Collection for GBA

I don't really see the point in re-issuing Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons or Link's Awakening DX, I mean, sure, they were for the Game Boy Color and not the Game Boy Advance, but they play fine on the Advance and they're not exactly rare. Amazon.com sells all of them, either themselves, or has users selling copies.

Personally, I think Nintendo have done great with the Zelda series. These re-issues of the older games is brilliant. I have the Game Boy Player on my Gamecube, so I can now play every single Zelda game on the one console. The first two from the Bonus disc, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages and Four Swords from the Game Boy Player, the Nintendo 64 games from the Bonus Disc, and The Wind Waker. It sure beats having to set up an old jittery buggy freezes-every-two-minutes console to play them.

Re: Zelda Collection for GBA

I think since Ocarina of Time was released, Zelda's market rose dramatically. Now it has such a huge following, I imagine they'd want to save the Zelda games for the main platform. Everyone had a GameBoy back when Link's Awakening was around, and the Oracle series wasn't strictly Nintendo produced... it would be nice to have another Link's Awakening out, but wouldn't you rather the next original Zelda game be on the GameCube or the N5? I know I would. I can hardly see anything on my GBA (thank God for the Game Boy Player add on for the 'Cube), when I was playing the Oracle games I had to continually squint, hold it at weird angles etc. just to see it.

Re: Zelda Collection for GBA

I'd like to see a remake of the old Zelda games, like they did with Link To The Past because that was amazing. I'd like for the very firs one to be on the GBA, but then they'd probably add another one or two to make up for lost space. Also I think it might be a good idea to do what they did with OOT and the Master Quest, then it would make hardcore Zelda fans have another fun quest to go through.

I think they should concentrate on making new Zelda games. Like wiredbilly said, they all exist for either Gameboy or Gamecube. I would like to see a brand new GBA Zelda game.

Yea that sounds good, LttP in my opinion is the best 2-D zelda and another game in the same style would be greatly appreciated by me

Re: Zelda Collection for GBA

In my case that's not what i meant by "same style." Of course I like the top down zelda look but it takes more than that to be like LttP. All three of those games are set in a place besides Hyrule, fighting a boss besides Ganon, making them much different from LttP
