Is General Onox a Gerudo?
Ok, maybe this is a stupid question, but I needed to ask. Is General Onox a Gerudo? Now why did I ask this question. Theres only two main reasons that got me to this conclusion. 1. General Onox is a male (since male gerudos are very very rare....100years rare). 2. When General Onox is in his dragon form, he has a a jewel on his forehead just like Ganondorf, Twinrova, and any other Gerudo.

I thoughOnox may have been a type of iron knuckle, as the only real differences are:
1.He talks instead of going "Ooraghhuoor" 2.He has a morning star instead of an axe. I don't know about the mirror shield markings, but you only find Iron knuckles in the two most gerudoy places in OoT (spirit temple and Ganon's Castle) |

Re: Is General Onox a Gerudo?
Hmm good point. I just noticed something else about Onox. Well as you may have noticed from previous bosses, they are the "king" of their minions. Agahim is the "king" of Wizrobes, Tail is the "King" of Moldorms(Sp?) and so on and so on. Onox (in his human form) seems to me a "king" of ball and chain guys. Maybe thats all he is, an overgrown knight with a morning star (and of course the typicle spirit of a dragon inside of you
)

Re: Is General Onox a Gerudo?
When looking at the ZU time line , the Oracle games are after Wind Waker right?
And if I remember correctly , in WW Ganondorf said that all the Gerudos but him had died. So that would make it impossible for Onox to be a Gerudo. But that al depends on if you believe the ZU time line or not. But it makes sence to me that the Oracle games come after WW. Anyway , even if you don't believe it , that still doesn't have to mean that Onox and Veran are Gerudos. They might just have the symbol because they work for Ganondorf and Twinrova. And , if Onox was a Gerudo , then wouldn't he automaticly be the leader of them all , seeing as how he id male (I think o.O). So wouldn't it make more sence for him to be where all the Gerudos are , instead of being isolated in Holodrum. |

Re: Is General Onox a Gerudo?
anyone, please correct me if Im wrong but, didn't Twinrova need to sacrifice people to summon Ganon (possibly from the dark realm)? If so, 100 years has passed, a new male gerudo was born so knowing that their king was still alive (spiritually in the dark realm) they made General Onox heir to the thrown sort of speak. I found him to be the Prince of the Gerudos if he is truely a Gerudo.

Re: Is General Onox a Gerudo?
Onox could be a gerudo, he tranforms into a dragon like ganondorf into ganon, possibly a trait that male gerudos have. Verans true form if you remember is a dark fairy looking thing, so I don't believe she's gerudo.
And ganon never said all gerudos but him were dead. he said he grew up in sun scorched land, that was since covered by sea, some random people living on the islands could descend from gerudos.

Otiraroz has brought up another good point; Onox and Veran were servants of Twinrova, so they would definitely have Gerudo symbols on their clothes.
Perhaps the fact Onox can change into a dragon is a skill given to him by twinrova. Maybe all gerudo males can turn into a dragon, but their human form varies slightly. (I.e. Onox and Gonondorf are both Gerudo Kings.) It all depends on whether the Oracles come after TWW. Holodrum and Labrynna are perhaps island on the Great Sea. Maybe, instead of being the mountaintops of Hyrule, they are the mountains of Termina. When the Godesses flooded the world, this could be what happened if Snowhead was the only area left: -Dekus could all fly from the low-level swamp to the mountains -Gorons could stay put in the norther part of the land (Rolling Ridge, Goron Mountain) -Zoras could swim to the new shoreline. -Some citizens of clocktown could survive and wash up on the shore. Of course all depends on when the flood happened, and the Oracles and MM took place. This is probably my longest post ever! |

So, what I mean is, that events and powers inb Termina (e.g. Ikana, Majoras mask, ect) could be directly affecting the Oracles. Perhaps the Gerudos washed up in the new Termina, or could descend from ancient Ikana.

SearanoX
Yeah, I tried the edit first, but the window that came up said that I wasn't allowed. (Even though I wrote the thing) It seemed to be implying that I was trying to edit someone elses post. So I had to resort to the second post so people would'nt think I was rambling on about rubbish unrelated to Onox being a gerudo. |

Re: Is General Onox a Gerudo?
Sage of Storms: Termina is in a different dimension than Hyrule.
Otiraroz: Ganondorf didn't say anything about the fate of the Gerudos. silver arrow: Ganondorf was given his Ganon form by the Triforce. Other than that, I have nothing more to add to the topic, since I have not played the Oracle games very much. ![]() |
